3 Jokers....

I really dont get it:

The first Joker is Criminal (Golden Age) Joker..
The second Joker is the Clownish Joker...
The third Joker is the Comedian Joker...

I first thought that the second Joker would be the one who was "The Killing Joke" Joker, HOWEVER I read now that the third Joker is the one from "The Killing Joke".

I dont understand the differentiation, because for me it was clear that the first Joker is the one with the toys etc., but I thought that then "The Killing Joke" Joker, would be the second one and the third one would be the NEW52 Joker.

1. Can someone now explain the "Clownish" Joker to me?
2. What are their origins?
3. How can they live at the same time? Time-Travelling or are the 3 different persons?

I read an interview which kind of confused me, because I understood it in this way:

Criminal Joker: Joker who appears in Batman #1, he doesnt smile
Clownish Joker: Joker from 1940-1960 era, with the toys etc.
Modern Joker:

'Clownish' Joker is the one who killed Jason.

Its implied that the original Joker created them somehow.

They're three different people.

The concept of Three Jokers is eerily similar to what happened in Metal Gear 5- The Phantom Pain, but with multiple body doubles.

Criminal joker: 1940's. (Though I suspect he's also the 'Jack Napier movie joker.)

Clowish joker.... 1960's/pre crisis joker. Laughing fish/ five way revenge joker. Murdered Jason Todd. I also like to think he's harley's joker.

Comedian joker.... Killing joke onwards.
