A winless team winning 1 game finally isn't some bad thing really. The players at a certain point are desperate and willing to play balls out by some point. Because it likely means their jobs are on the line. I doubt any player on the Jets feel like they will be kept next season. So they have to play HARD and try their best to show they can have a job next year. So they will catch an over confident team off guard and it can happen. Kansas City back in early 2010's was a bad team as we saw. They had terrible weeks of football and managed to finally win 2 games the entire year.

I remember the speech in Major League II as the Cleveland Indians were a bad team and finally won a game.

I always love you takes WBE. You are right about Cincy. All hope is gone. You should see the Cincy message boards and the news. I havnt seen the town so said since Kenyon martins injury in the Saitn Louis game for UC because that took the chances of a March madness run and possible national championship out the window.

The Palmer injury was dishearting. That was like a punch in the gut. this is like a shot to the head.

BTW what movie is you gif from?

Sunovbitch....we almost swept em this year.

All things considered, what with half of our Defensive Starters in COVID quarantine this last week and having to play Andy after a bye, I say we played pretty well. Slugged it out with them for the entirety of the game.

    Bring on Round 3.

If you're referring to the "to be fair..." gif?

That's the show Letterkenny. Which if you haven't seen it? Highly recommended comedy about a hick town in Canada. The pitch is, the main character was known as the toughest guy in the county, but his girlfriend made him promise to stop fighting. Then, she cheats on him, and he reclaims the mantle in exceptional fashion. The dialogue on that show, the debates and running jokes through the series are outstanding.

For my Eagles, yesterday's game against Cleveland might well have been their best chance to win for quite some time, because things don't get any easier as they face Seattle, Green Bay, New Orleans and Arizona, all locked in playoff teams. It's not inconceivable the Birds could end up 3-10-1 after finishing that deadly stretch, and I wouldn't give them much of a chance against Dallas and Washington to finish the season. While I don't know if such a potentially horrific finish would spell the end of Doug Pederson's tenure in Philly, his leash figures to be painfully short going into 2021.

If you told me a decade ago Kansas City would have a QB who could literally carry a team on his back to wins I would have laughed hard. As I posted KC hadn't really had a QB that was a sure bet Hall of Fame caliber type since well....Joe Montana. And he was near the end of his career when they got him. With a Pat Mahomes its like a weekly watch of , well ...here is how fucking special I am . Ok now your gonna see it again.

This was Mahomes 5th , 4th quarter comeback and 6th game winning drive in 3+ seasons according to Pro Football reference in regular season.

For me, the only surprise is he's had that many comebacks, because it seems like he has KC's offense working so well they aren't playing from behind very often.

Its one of those where KC's defense really needs to add pieces in draft and get cap room to help Mahomes and the offense. Because he can only do so much. I mean winning a Super Bowl on that offense was great. But the team still has to add pieces.

It's Stillers, it's Chefs in the AFC, that's the list. Chefs and Bills are only 2 games apart but Buffalo is not in the current class of K.C. right now. Colts are finally back on top of the South but trying to avoid that WC weekend early out is the priority. Tacks @ Colts this weekend is huge.

After that it's a log jam but the only pretender I see are the Browns right now. I probably can't even say that with much conviction cause they've already beat the Colts once. Vega$ is in there, Bills are going to make it tough, Lamar and the Ravens got to pull it together and while the Tacks should comfortably stay behind the Colts, for everyone else they play it's going to be tough sledding. Miami took a step back but there are too many games left to write them off as spoiler material quite yet. The entire December schedule plus this holiday slate is going to matter in the AFC.

Pittsburgh has the Bills and Colts left but all the remaining tough matches against K.C. are out of division with the Bucs and Saint's. That lone playoff bye is likely going to Pittsburgh.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.

Is there a Carson Wentz problem ?

Wentz is coming under fire for terrible practice habits from reports while the other talking head guy claims that the Eagles have a lack of talent issue at WR due to whats going on the last 2 seasons. Also the talking head claiming how Wentz should get the same type of talk a Russell Wilson gets as he's struggled is insane....

The ageless Frank Gore scored a TD on the ground to notch a nice feat. He's ran for TD's in 3 decades now. Also his son played as a freshman in college. Gore is in his 16th season and if he gets over 500+ yards rushing for season (he's 53 yards from that mark) it will be the 16th straight year he's rushed for over 500 yards on the ground. Also Gore is 252 yards away career wise from hitting the 20,000+ career yards mark in rushing/receiving !

Only 2 RB's on this list have more rushing/receiving yards over 20,000+ and its Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton. Jerry Rice and Brian Mitchell both played other positions with Mitchell in his career gaining most of his through kick and punt returns.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o..._yards_leaders

It will be interesting to see if Frank Gore can do it or if he'll play a 17th NFL season to see how much further he can go for his Hall of Fame career.

Is there a Carson Wentz problem? Probably. Is he going anywhere? Nope, and there are 128 million reasons he’s staying put. Will Wentz be benched, once again, nope, who will take his place? Green as grass rookie Jalen Hurts? Untested Nate Sudfeld? Unlikely. As long as NFC Least is still up for grabs, the team will continue trotting Wentz out there, regardless of all the bad decisions and horrific turnovers he makes, right now, the only way Hurts or Sudfeld see the field is if Wentz gets injured, and lord knows that’s been a constant with him from day one. People have said that Wentz’s slide began the day offensive coordinator Frank Reich and QB coach John DiFillipo left town after the Super Bowl, and there’s no denying Wentz has looked far from stellar since then, making that fat contract the team recently gave him a ridiculous mistake. As an Eagles fan, I see nothing but dark days ahead as what’s left of the 2017 core is on its last legs and most of the replacements haven’t cut the mustard so far, right now, trying to win this sham of a division would be a terrible joke.

The question for Derek Carr after the loss to the Mahomes Chiefs was basically - why did you score a touchdown so quickly and give Mahomes so much time at the end of the game??!!? Kind of unreal. I mean, what are you supposed to do, not score until some specific time in the game?
