It isn't the first time a team has played on their home field in the Super Bowl. The 49ers played a few home games in Stanford Stadium which was the site of Super Bowl XIX.

Bucs have been designated the home team, will get to use their own lockers, and have the first choice on the uniforms.

    Will they go white?

Citation please - I found a reference to the 49ers playing there a few years after Super Bowl XIX, but nothing before that game. There is a slight difference between home market and home stadium.

Have to say the Bucs pass rush was unbelievable on Sunday. No matter how many picks Brady threw, that Bucs defense wasn't letting the Packers gain any yards. Tampa Bay is getting hot at the right time. I've never seen Skip Bayless so happy as he was yesterday. Dude's gonna cry on national television when Tom Terrific retires. Now we've got Nate Silver's 538 website saying Aaron Rodgers is the "new" Drew Brees.

NFL . com and the Niners website say that they played near their home but are clear in not using the word "host."

Bucco Bruce always had a "Helllooooo sailor!" air to him that cracked me up for a team logo/mascot. The Errol Flynn, "bone anything on two legs" pirate vibe.

LOL. If that's Bucco Bruce Arians... that's the guy who's got a cooler to make rum and cokes to enjoy in the parking lot near the port.

Yes. Rum and cokes out of a old school van, a van with curtains.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?
    You bet yer ass.

Seattle's color rush lime are an assault on the senses.

These are so bad they're good.

Just saw that Watson had demanded to be traded from the Texans...

3 years left on his deal, signing bonus already been paid. $27.5 mil is one hell of a freakin' bargain for one of the top 3 QB's in the league this year.

And why the Colts are on people list as possible landing spot, please, go read a book. Houston is and has always been one of franchise playing from the back but give them some credit for not being fkn idiots. That train left with O'Brien. Even he wouldn't send the best QB they've ever had, up to and including the Oilers, to the in division competition. Why not go punch out God while you're at it.
