At best at least an 0-16 record is off the table, lol. Not for the Jets though, they could easily go winless now.
That leaves me to wonder what current winless teams have a legitimate shot at running the table. Both New York teams (Giants from injuries, Jets from incompetence) have a darn good shot, perhaps the Falcons, but they have too much talent for that, ditto for Minnesota and my Eagles, despite being nearly bereft of healthy receivers. The Bengals? Not so sure, they're in the same division with Jekyll and Hyde Cleveland, and while things aren't looking good in Houston, they'll win eventually.

I think the credit should go to Jerry Jeudy on some of those long TDs. And Melvin Gordon.

In any event... Adam Gase just lost to a Broncos team decimated by injury and let their undrafted rookie 3rd string QB lead his team to a 4th quarter comeback.

He might be packing up his office when the flight lands back in New York.

I'll give the Texans the benefit of the doubt, their schedule has been "Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers". That's... I don't know if there are any teams who got a tougher first 3 weeks than that. That's three playoff teams from the AFC. The first two were the #1 and #2 seeds last year.

Hmm. This wasn't even a scrappy effort between two hungry teams. I finally turned off and watched the end of Halloween, which was less scarier than the game cause I was like I don't wanna see anymore guys with the coaching staff taking knee around them while they're writing in pain.

Denver 8-94 yards in penalties and 11-118 for the Jest, 212 yards in flags. Gotta be some kind of record.

Adam Gase, Frank Gore is not a wide receiver btw. Todd Bowles struggled but not like this guy, he's getting guys hurt out here. Nothing left for the JETS to do but mutiny at this point.
Beefing up the old home security, huh?

The only reason to keep Gase is to go 0-16 and get Trevor Lawrence next year.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

The only good news for Fangio is the Broncos get the Jets tonight. No matter how beat up their roster is, that gives them hope. Then again, they might be forced to start Blake Bortles here, if things don't improve.

I know, I agree it's corny to bump a gif twice in a week but it had to be, I thought dude was out of the league. That said I don't know who gives you a better chance but Bortles has got to come into play at some point under some unwritten veteran rule of some kind right.

So I'm taking Bill O'Brien off the table, again he's going nowhere, his record in the South is the only reason he's elevated to the position he has now and he hasn't even worked that chin magic on the Jags, Tacks or Colts yet. He holds too many key's to the building at this point, 2021 is going to be tight for him though.

I'm taking Joe Judge off the table, overall coaching is pretty tight up and down the league but this is predicated on guys that have been around as HC. Judge has not BUT, HE JUST FREAKIN' GOT THIS JOB. I feel he can coast on loosing Barkley for another half a season worth of excuses. Daniel Jones, gtfoh, that has to crash and burn first, which has begun. He happens to pull a back-to-back win out of his ass (there's a three game East stretch at Dallas, Home against WFC and at Philly) he can conceivably be 1st in the lEast. Sure his gig is one on the list of 'why not Eric Bieniemy' but those couple wins could buy him time into 2021 alone.

WBE's got the Sinister Six, that leaves me with the Fantastic Four.

    4. (the lukewarm spot) Matt Patricia: He doesn't need to win, he just needs to not get embarrassed... buy Detroit Lion standards of embarrassment on top of that. Oh he's definitely a ghost at this point. He's the longest tenured, 'why you fire the black man' candidate, he's been destroyed by Kirk Cousin's on his watch, he's threw all his assistants under the bus and got nothing left but just not to get rolled. His position is being counted in one-offs at this point. Anybody anywhere else he is #1, this is Detroit.

    3. Adam Gase: YES, my eyes have seen the light. Sure he's going to be gone but what's the rush? I get it now, they are going 0-16 and in the pantheon of 0-16 this will be the WORST 0-16 ever so, what's the rush. Covid has helped this man's job security because if they had fans last night he'd wouldn't have made it out of the stadium. You also can't have Williams as your interim cause I'm sure we'd have some Last Boy Scout level of insanity at or near the field. So, let Gase cook, his guys are not prepared, he's getting them hurt but here's 10 days to be out of the limelight and for attitudes to change. He's gone but not just yet, he's improving draft position.

    2. Vic Fangio: The kid just ain't ready for all involved, that could be about Fangio or Rypien at this point. Home at the Dolphins and a Falcon road game is still in the first half of their season plus a couple Charger games later. I doubt running that sorry table saves him but you just can't be 8-12 going back to last season. Can't quite make him a 'why you fire the black man' candidate, Vance Joseph at least did have Von Miller also this guy is still a Colt on some level to me... he's still gotta go but I think he makes it through the end of the season.

    1. Dan Quinn: C'mon, he's not only in the driver seat, it's his Lyft these guys are in. He's been shamed, his team embarrassed, dumped assistants and he's in the midst of washing and repeating that. I get Blank want's to cradle him slowly to the street but it's long since begun to infect the players with 'somehow we can still lose this game'. He's a ghost, he's Susan Sarandon and Sean Penn from 95. He's gotta go, they struggled mightily last season and his times been up. He'll be first.

Just the same, I kind of want Adam Gase to stay around for the same reasons it was fun (in a shadenfreude way) to have Wayne Fontes around for so long.

The ship has sailed on the embarrassing thing. He coaches the Lions!

Wayne Fontes. Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time. A long, long time.

If he's smart, if Jets get the number 1 pick he should either stay at Clemson for his senior year, or be working now on a way to avoid playing for the Jets at all costs if he is determined to be in this draft. Pull an Elway/Manning.

Mike Greenberg did a piece this morning basically saying he should stay at Clemson if the Jets have the first overall pick or the highest pick of a QB needy team.

Chiefs/Pats rescheduled to Mon or Tues.

Also zero percent chance that happens
