This issue is mostly a welcoming back party for the resurrected Red Queen who is Kate Pryde. Her closest friends such as Storm, Nightcrawler, Magik, Rachel and many others are all there to welcome her back.
Emma showed Kate how she was killed by Sebastian Shaw telepathically. Kate hatched a plan for revenge with Emma.
Later, Kate went to a tattoo shop to get a tattoo on her hands of the name of the man who hurt her. Kate gave the female tattoo artist a kiss after the job.
This sets the stage for the revenge against Shaw in the next issue.
Nothing much happened in this issue but the art is just gorgeous.

Posted this in the Kitty thread already but I am SO here for this. Imo Kitty's character had felt like a dead horse beaten one too many times, especially in recent years. I was genuinely disinterested almost every time she made an appearance which is sad because I loved what she brought to the team back in the day. This issue is the first time in a long time that she literally feels like a breath of fresh air and the modern stories that this "new phase" opens up for her are limitless. Shocked, but in the best way. Stoked to see where our Red Queen goes next. BEYOND stoked to see Shaw taste the heel of her boot. Let's GO.
