I think the Giant-Size X-Men are quite out of touch with the Dawn of X books. Other than confirming Warlock's presence alongside Cypher and Illyana knowing about it, I don't think these one-shots will have more impact

I think the Giant Size series is more of a showcase for the different artists.

Eg. Giant Size Nightcrawler was a showcase for Alan Davis art.

Nightcrawler was a set up for the techno-organic plotline. That issue ties more directly into the bigger picture than any of the others.

I think people assumed the 5 Giant Size issues would correspond with Hickman’s five favorite X-Men so there was speculation that there would be a Sinister issue.
