Hmmm. It's not difficult to imagine Frasier going on with a character actor similar to John Mahoney in some similar role.

I can't see the show continuing without Davis Hyde Pierce.

Politely, I've got to completely disagree. Take any episode where things got even remotely serious? I can't see anyone put Mahoney being able to do even half the job that he did.
