    Default Robert Smigel

The creator of Saturday TV Funhouse was the first to play the original Brain Wave in the 1988 Superman 50th anniversary special.

Makes sense, that's where the proto-Ambiguously Gay Duo premiered, I believe co-created by Smigel - https://youtu.be/u1aFcKgbUvw?t=1587

There are some terrific clips of the history of Superman in that special, but also allot of junk gags, I think Superman and his creators deserved better than that anniversary "special"

Not sure it needed it's own thread LOL!

Yeah, it's better suited for the trivia thread on tv/film. Incidentally, I remember the U.S. News and World Report ad on tv in '88 where the publisher blew a gasket over Time featuring Supes on its cover, "Bah, humbug" summed up his opinion.
