I like Raheem Sterling. It seems there aren't many who can keep up with him. At the end of his first season he seemed to wear down, hopefully he is past that.

And Falcao joins Utd on loan. Arsenal fans are already fuming.

Yeah I think that was just his age, teenagers seem to get tired before players in their 20s do.

    What have I always believed?
That, on the whole, and by and large, if a man lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, in the end, more or less, turn out all right.

On paper at least. You can never be too certain how players will adapt to the Premier League. But yes it looks like a good signing for Utd.

This Arsenal fan has long ago given up expecting anything on transfer deadline day, especially getting payers in positions we actually need them.
A defender, defensive midfielder and striker needed at Arsenal. I expect none of these to be signed but hope my cynicism is confounded.

Well... That was one of the funniest deadline days I've been privy to since they started. Chesterfield don't really tend to do much on deadline day but this season we've snapped up a 29 year old striker who has played in non-league his entire career and we bought our biggest rivals best player! I'm still chuckling.

Is that Sam Clucas? Excuse my ignorance, (I should have some interest as I live about half an hour away from Chesterfield), but don't know a lot about them.

That's the chap. By all accounts he's a technically gifted winger who was, by their own admission, wasted in a Mansfield side that played neither wingers or what you and I would call 'football'. Probably decent business for both sides. We get a good footballer and they get some cash.

Hull City were busy yesterday. That somewhat surprised me.

    Yup.
And well done to Hull, shame they couldn't reach the EL groupstages.

Like I said, hopefully and he should be past that now.

After 3 fixtures, I have high hopes for this version of the Liverpool side

    Random news here.
I attended my college enrolment today, and was thrilled to learn the great Millwall legend, Teddy Sheringham is part of their alumni.

Yeah it is a shame they couldn't reach the EL group stages would've been nice for them.

That's good random news. Teddy was a great player (even if he did play for Man Utd )
