    Question Cameo vs 1st appearance

Hey. I’m new to collecting comics for value. I was wondering in general is a characters cameo or their 1st full appearance more desirable in terms of collectibility?

    1st full appearance.

For instance, Wolverine gets a cameo in Incredible Hulk #180, with his first full appearance in #181. A 9.2 rated copy will be valued at about $1300 and $6500, respectively. Prices may vary, of course.

Thanks you, anything else you look for, especially in new releases that might indicate a valuable comic?

Many people put stock into an artist's first time doing a character for a book. My personal opinion, that only works so long as the artist is on the book. Once they leave the book, demand goes down.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
