Sure but Thanos isn’t really Guardians villain

If they do Kang he’s going to need to be built and Ant Man is the best film to do it for the reasons I stated

    1. Time Travel in the MCU is tied to Pym. Time travel is important for Kang.

    2. Kang’s HQ city is heavily implied to be in the comic version of the Quantum Realm.

Kang isn’t tied to a hero like Loki, Doom, Maestro, Osborne, etc. So the film that has the most elements tied to him is the one to use. And it makes sense. Ant Man is an important Avenger and he’s been b tier thus far

    Chronopolis in distance

Van Dyne^- "There's so much we didn't know about this place,... Worlds upon worlds. Entire civilizations. Far more than we ever theorized."

Why are so many in this thread only talking about the possibility of Scott v. Kang, acting like Scott is the only viable character introduced in this leg of the franchise, and there isn't a team?
Both movies were about expanding the roster into a team-Ant-Man in the end. Or the Ant-Fam. if you will:

Obviously Pym and all the time and quantum Tech /science, suits, vehicles, weapons, and knowledge, he brings.
We have both Ant-Man and Giant-Man (either as separate adding Goliath Bill Foster again) or two in one)
    Obviously Wasp
The last film brought back Van Dyne, who adds whatever knowledge and unexplored powers (including mater manipulation?) she brings from the Quantum realm, yeah she survived in there and is able to control things that haven't even fully been explored.
And she shares some of that power with Ghost.
And although Ghost runs off, the scene before ends with them assembled as pretty much a family. Hoping to bring both Bill and now Ava back in the fold.
The post credit scene is implicitly them seeking tech (extracting quantum particles) and better control to share with Ava/Ghost's quantum location and phasing powers.
They are all part of Team-Ant-Man.

Not to mention armies of ants species, small and giant, potentially giant Tardigrades (yeah I went there, you know it's coming!!), and the X-Con (Antourage )

If Kang, by extension Chronopolis and the Quantum realm, expand into being a nemesis for the entire MU great, yet why do some still go on about this part of franchise like it's still just (Scott)Ant-Man. LOL!
It's not, they've created a great team ^. Lets talk about them as a team!

    And this^!
As you indicate, Kang is perfectly being set up to start as the Team-Ant-Man-verse nemesis.

Kang is perfect for the next big bad. Drop a little of him in Ant-Man just to set the stage. Him being a possible future descendant of Reed Richards gives them a great way to bring in the FF to the MCU too.

If team ant-man do take on Kang then it will probably be using a science based scheme rather than a traditional punch up.

Scott Lang: The days of breaking into places and stealing **** are finally over! What do you need us to do?

Hank Pym: I want you all to break into the quantum realm, and steal a tiny space-time-dimension-displaced city, guarded by a universe conquering megalomaniac, ...and ****.

    Everyone: Makes sense!

As is the Ant-Man franchise, which is tied to the Quantum Realm by way we know people time travel in the films.
And since Kang is a time travelling villain, who could possibly be built up to take on the Avengers in later films, his intro is being tied to Ant-Man franchise and the Quantum Realm first, makes sense.
Why is everyone up on their huffy-bikes about this!?

Because people are afraid of Kang being beaten by a 'lowly' Ant-Man

With how intense Hollywood is when it concerns POC characters, I hope Disney knows what they are doing and learn from the horrible mistakes they made with their Star Wars.

I guess if we say it's connected in so far as Ant-Man was with The Avengers and used a concept that was relevant to the last Avengers movie, but he's still his own thing.

I just don't think Kang makes sense as a villain for just Ant-Man, but if this is just introducing him for later, that makes more sense.

I mean, I'm not afraid so much as not sure how they could make it work, especially when it seems like you should be saving Kang up to actually fight The Avengers.

That and I'd prefer to see them fight AIM.

I hope he gets beat by lowly Ant-Man and stomped by his own army of water bears for good measure. And that the Avengers get a different main villain who is less lame.
