I want to see Doom get his ass kicked by Squirrel Girl like in the comics - doesn’t mean he’s going to lose face, just that he can be bad ass in a different way. Same with Kang - him being defeated by a team of size changers just means he wasn’t ready for them, and when he is... look out, universe!

What If they use Antman not just to introduce Kang but the F4. What if that's the team up, not the Young Avengers. Kang has been trapped in the Quantum realm and was able to escape when the Avengers went flying through it to time travel. But the F4 have also been stuck in there since the 60s, Maybe Reed is the one who trapped Kang. It would be tough to pull off without the F4 high jacking the movie and overshadowing team Antman. Maybe only Reed is seen for most the movie and then at end Hank and Scott help Reed rescue the rest from the Quantum realm. Cause you throw the whole team in there and its now a F4 movie with Antman in it. But they can lay some of the backstory for the f4 so they can skip the origin story. I highly doubt any of this happens but it would be cool. If anything its more likely Kang Name drops his ancestor and we get a F4 Easter egg. If they go for the whole 60s thing with the team, they can have Pym and Reed be old friends and Pym can talk about a friend and his family who went missing while researching the Quantum Realm. Though iono Janet got old as hell in the Quantem Realm while Scott doesn't look like he aged 5years. So iono how all that works. Guess It doesn't matter, they can just say its Quantum mumbo jumbo and 99% of the audience will go "Makes Sense".

It wouldn't be an Ant-Man movie without a lot of use of the word "quantum" .

Kang is actually perfect villain for Ant Man movie guy. He has no personality, dubious motivations, and as such would be a great comic foil. He's a great way to give scale to the movie without giving any real substance to the MCU. Just like Ronin in GOTG.

Lol, true. To quote Scott Lang from the last movie, they "just throw 'Quantum' in front of everything"!

Ronan is one of my favorites but ... you're kind of right.

The top 2 moments I can think of for Ronan are when he smashed off Ravenous' jaw and when he brutally executes a (cloned) Silver Surfer. They involve him being a badass, nothing requiring character work.

Kang is pretty much the same. He has moments of being a badass but nothing deep like Magneto, Doom, Loki, etc. He is a bit of a one note villain but a cool one-note villain. Didn't the F4 stop him once mid-opening monologue? "Yeah, we get it. Time travel, blah blah blah. Reed!?" And then freeze him?

He has a personality, though. He's a condescending, egostistical, fanatical, and obsessive conqueror.

EMH Kang was able to take on an entire roster of Avengers single-handedly.

That's not a personality, that's a caricature. Doom is those things too, but we have some insight into why he is those things. I'm not aware of any such depth to Kang.

Comment makes no sense. Antman can't beat Kang at all. It will take everyone to beat kang

Reminder that we aren't talking about comics Kang. We have no idea what MCU Kang is or is not capable of.

You get some of it when we meet Iron Lad and his teenage self, but it's still a personality in my opinion.

Cap edged a victory out against Iron Man. Not a hard concept to understand

This should be a much bigger scale than Cap and Bucky vs Iron Man.

Unless we're getting Avengers Assemble Kang.

See I remember people getting upset but the way it was shown in the story 100% worked for me. It felt believable in the that circumstance. Antman taking out Kang iono but I highly doubt hat happens. Probaly just an introduction to the character
