    NOT AN ENTRY.

I remember after I joined the Army in ‘91, seeing these PS Magazines around the motor pool, and thinking ‘gee that cover art looks familiar’. Turns out Joe Kubert was a frequent contributor...:

The adventures these guys could have would rival anything the Avengers could do.

Will Eisner helped get that mag off the ground and running and produced the mag for the armed forces for many many, years so lots of the issues feature Will Eisner material. There's a book collection that is a best of Eisner's stuff on the mag as seen in this video preview...

I did not know Joe Kubert had contributed to it as well, so thanks for that heads up.

Comic fans get the comics their buying habits deserve.

    No sweat!

I didn’t want to get into the Eisner aspect of it, as I tend to ramble on, and I was already sticking a random post (and pic) in the middle of the contest covers. So, I’m glad you brought it up!

Another project with which Kubert was closely associated was the series of comics books about fire prevention that for decades were published by the National Fire Protection Association (a group of about 50,000 professionals) and that were distributed to school kids. Most of the books were produced by the Kubert School, with Joe doing many of them himself.

One of Joe's early creations that he continued to revisit. To our delight.

There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!
