Default Has Mystique already defected to Orchis?

Bear with me, but Director Devo - the guy in charge of Orchis - is blind but told Alia Gregor that his machines allow him to see in more ways than he could have as a human. Mystique ran into him when she infiltrated the Orchis Forge. Is it not possible that Devo knew what she was and let her go around the base to figure out what she was doing the first time she passed through and when she left without killing Gregor, realized that there was something wrong. X and Magneto told Mystique to go back in the next day to kill Gregor and while we've got no indication of whether she did or not, the books have clearly advanced past that point in time. If I had to guess, Mystique goes back the next day and is easily suborned by Devo given how angry she already was at X and Magneto and she brings back false proof that she killed Gregor and Nimrod has been stopped.

I certainly wouldn’t put it past her. She’s untrustworthy at the best of times and there is an open portal to the Orchis Forge.

If Nimrod is a form of resurrection, she may have sold Krakoa in exchange for Destiny being resurrected.

You're on to something, possibly though not stated , coz I think in the first X-Men book, Devo was moved off the Orchis station in solar orbit just before the attack. How did Omega sentinel know an attack was coming? Sure one could say she did a cold calculation of the probability but is it possible that Devo has harnessed some sort of time tech to either see and calculate the future or this tech is itself an appropriation of Irene's power? This is pretty convoluted but assuming Devo somehow appropriated the tech , alerting Gregor to kill Mystique in the airlock is one way they tried to prevent infiltration, but if they were a moment late, then the gate is planted and Xavier and Magnus have a way in to do Orchis some serious damage, but if Devo took a peek to foresee the infiltration then he is well aware to stay ahead of the curve and spring a trap.He may not even need to turn Mistique but just feed her the wrong info all the time so while X-Men think they have the upper hand ,they don't really. Or it could be I'm just giving Devo way too much credit and he simply used his smarts and glasses to see who Mystique was and decided to trap her or turn her,not like she needs much convincing. If Gregor promised her she could bring back Destiny for a price, Mystique would take the bait

The more I think about the idea of Devo appropriating Irene's power the more I realise somehow Destiny could see everyone's destiny but her own! Wouldn't it be the greatest twist of irony if Irene through having her essence traded by Mystique (who blindly wants a reunion with her lover) either through stealing tissue samples or Sinister's data samples actually gifts the machines the ultimate key, the ability to have foreknowledge of events to stay in step or a step ahead of mutants? That way if Irene had a 'feeling' Krakoa was bad would be the ultimate in retroactive prognostication. She feels Krakoa is bad because a distant idea of herself in Nimrod is feeding her those perceptions and prophecies and she cannot see that she herself is corrupted.Intriguing to say the least and would be an EPIC and serendipitous twist that no one would see coming, well apart from the guys on this very thread

But we know that Irene can see her own destiny because she predicted her death.

I don't think Irene is immortal so predicting her own death is standard for such a constant. For example she predicted 10 or 11 lives for Moira with the key caveat being she saw a new Moira -the Shiar Golem and possibly couldn't distinguish the 'life' of an Android or clone from the life of Moira prime. So my guess is even in this scenario Destiny could have a blind spot for her own destiny. This scenario is strange because in the ultimate context the two protagonists Moira and Irene switch sides and stand as opposites in the greater time stream

Mystique is a pro-mutant terrorist! She will resort to any means to take out groups that threaten mutants, poison gas, bombs, nothing is off the table for her! She will threaten their families and their children and follow through if they don't do what she asks! I can't see her working with Orchis, I see her assassinating members of Orchis regardless of Krakoan no-kill laws!

Since we didn't get to see how her assignment worked out, it's a pretty safe bet it didn't go as planned. Even if she didn't turn on Charles and Erik and kept a bargaining chip for Destiny's resurrection, I'd find it extremely hard to believe the Orchis station wouldn't have immediately noticed her presence.

She is usually like that but if she is cornered and can take something for herself, is not hard to imagine that she can sold out Krakoa.

Very true, suspending disbelief aside it is implausible that Orchis didn't know a Krakoa gate or bio organism was on there.

1.This not being on earth , it is mind boggling to think they don't have botanists on there cross checking their plant life containment unit or section, to know something as commonplace as Krakoan gates world wide is on their ship

2 Ships or spaceships of that advanced level have s scanners or detectors to detect not only life support data which definitely puts a Krakoa plant in the cross hairs of the scan but also it is almost universal that interstellar ships have sensors to detect breaches either pressure fall or energy surge, so to say a Krakoa gate opening a spatial dimension on the ship would go unnoticed is ridiculous

3.The station had been breached by X-Men once before ,so to say Orchis didn't do a check to build new safeguards against it happening again is just ludicrous.Krakoa gets breached and beefs security but Orchis doesn't?

    Do you remember Wolverines?

Mystique would send all of Earth to hell for Irene.

She would not have to defect to "stick it" to Charles and Magnus. That's over-complicating things. She's fully capable in her own right and character to turn against those who betray her without having to "sleep with the enemy" especially one who can and will turn against her and the woman she loves, regardless, because they are mutants.
We are MUTANT...One people. One tribe. One family...Krakoa, FOREVER!!!
