So since you brought up Remy and Rogue in the other thread I guess that means the writers are still open to more suggestions on them. I just want to draw attention back to a post I made back on page 5. About potential love interests to start both of them off before they find each other. (Reminder not all this needs a reply but just some stuff you can add to your notes if you want to take them to the people.)

I mentioned I wanted Gambit to be a flirt. Flirt with Jean with Storm (though storm and Gambit are friends. He still flirts just to make her a little uncomfortable as is his personality.) and others just because he likes to with his close female friends. I think One thing that could help Rogue trust Gambit is the fact someone like Storm does. They always say having female friends is a good indicator that a man is good to women, even if the guy's personality can be obnoxious or overbearing or childish.

And I said how Wolverine might actually be a good love choice potentially because he's a big enough presence that it can be built as an actual threat to Romy. But based on age maybe it's just Rogue has a crush on him or someone else. Like maybe Logan reminds her of the good old boys back home and has regeneration so she likes that she can't hurt him as much.

And as I said Wolverine and Gambit is one of my favorite "almost friendships" maybe in briefings or when hanging out they have a vibe. It doesn't even have to be a big main friendship. Just something we see every now and then throughout episodes.

And like i said the thing that makes Rogue choose Remy is him proving its more than flirting with romance but also moments of genuine concern and risks to help her. Things done out of caring not necessarily romantic love.

I want times where they have to team up on missions just the two of them with some good dialogue.

I want Rogue to steal Gambits powers at least once and throw some cards.

I want to see a moment where Rogue absorbs a ugly mutant and Gambit still says she's beautiful

I want Rogue to say she hates him

I want Remy to have a 10 pack, nice shoulders and handsome and Rogue to be dummy thiccc with a girl next door vibe.

Idk I'm just naming off random thoughts just in case you're looking for something specific

Hey I would just like to pop in and share some thoughts. Cyclops is my favorite X-Man. There have been times when he was treated well and there have definitely times when he has been treated as trash Fox X-Men, Wolverine and the X-Men, etc.. If this project that you are working on, that you guys are aiming for a December release, doesn't have any writers that don't like Scott Summers as a character and therefore won't treat him fair, could you guys please leave him out of the project. Maybe mention he moved onto another team or maybe he just out there in world just living his life and happy and content. Please don't think that I am asking that he be the star of this thing and that everyone worships the ground he walks on, I'm not. Good luck on your dream to see this come alive.

    Aww, awesome!

I can totally sympathize AND empathize. Cyclops is similar to Gambit, in terms of writers seemingly not knowing what to really do with his character, and like to... dick him out too much. We're going to write Cyclops as a fully fleshed out character, with heroic positives about him and his leadership, along with personal/character flaws to be overcome (not used as a plot device). Cyclops we haven't discussed yet, but he's someone with a troubled past, and when brought into Xavier's "private" school, Jean to help him get on track. We get to see how this happens, and why he strives so much to determine who he is, through being the leader of the X-Men, a leader of the Mutant Movement, and building a family bond with his teammates. This doesnt mean he's without his errors. Hell, this version of Jean Grey has flaws too.

Cyclops would be in the best hands ever; these are FANS collabing on his story, character arc and development. He is an important part of the team, and story as a whole.

December is just the project in general, the first short actually centers on the Avengers, THEN the second one mixes the Avengers with X-Men. The X-Men's actual series doesn't begin until Arc II, so... there's plenty of time to get Cyclops (and all others) done right. This is a fan collaborated project so... its no one person's vision. There's a chief writer and she had given us the most guidance and direction

ps im tired af if any of this was mispelled or what, don't care its 3am my time lol

No his looks match anime more than any other x-character.

Kid Omega and Kid Cable buddy cop series when? They seem like opposites of each other personality wise but still share some similarities power wise.

LOL Okay, Im wrong on that.

Well... he's still gonna get a make over, and serious revising I feel. I doubt 100% he'll be used as is, or even close to it. No one even liked the fact he was suggested, kinda like Hope. And bion the FEW Hope Summers fans we had in the focus group, even asked why he was on the table, and not Hope... the answer was Q was actually seen not just in the WHR but inside the Crown. Also... there's indication that Q isn't gonna be that big a deal like others. His character serves just to explore the Phoenix more, and support what happens in the distant future when Jean Grey/White Phoenix found herself confronting the Cosmic Rival inside the Crown of WHR.

    Default Introducing: The annihilators

Thank you Gripstir, for suggesting the Annihilators cuz this morning... one of our core writers thought "AWESOME IDEA".

That particular writer stated this is a great way to segue into The Dystopian Arc. So let's first talk about how the Annihilators came into the picture. After some off thread discussions with Gripstir, I believe we were talking about the Phoenix Trilogy, that's when they brought up the Annihilators. According to the Marvel wiki, this team was Star Lord's dream to extend teh GOTG, and this team came together to prevent Blaastar from destroying the Kree... something like that, take a look from the link: https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Annihilators_(Earth-616)

So... Gripstir and I discussed the importance of energy beings/heroes for what comes up in the Phoenix Trilogy. That being Phoenix Force's nemesis, "Cosmic Rival". Unlike the Phoenix Force, a cosmic psionic being, the "Cosmic Rival" is an energy being that is the "Energy Nexus", which is extremely scary and more dangerous than Phoenix is. So this incarnation of the Annihilators would be commissioned by the Shi'ar Empress L'landra, formed by Gladiator to help Phoenix/Jean Grey combat "The Cosmic Rival". and as "Cosmic Rival"... makes its exit at the end of the Phoenix Trilogy, the Annihilators then turn to research where this entity even come from, and what exactly was it. Much like Jean Grey/Phoenix does, while taking lead of the X-Men. That's when they make the horrifying discovery of the Brood, ushering us into a new era.

This was Gripstir's basic ideas for a team:

Like idk if you want to use this as a rough draft of a potential team If you guys use it (and remember you donít have to comment on each one or anything but
    1. Gladiator - organizer/muscle

    2. Vulcan - wild card. A bit of a hothead and loose canon. Argues with people and Gladiator a lot. Super powerful

    3. Bishop - His story is a spoiler, but I will say he's actually the one to see the good side of "The Cosmic Rival"

    4. Quasar - pacifist but very powerful the defender. Every team needs a defensive specialist

    5. Havok - the kid of the group. I revealed to Gripstir that Havok has a very important role later with the "Cosmic Rival", so good irony for him to be on this team

    6. Variable options include ( captain marvel as you suggested though I really am not a fan of hers, kid omega again not a fan, thanos, Adam warlock etc etc)
The sixth member should be a female, and Captain Marvel is on the table as the other one argumentative with Gladiator, and breeze in breeze out type of member. But that's just a suggestion. Also, Captain Marvel has an interesting history with "The Cosmic Rival", so it kinda makes sense why she'd join the team, for personal reasons.

There's more to talk later! Phoenixx9 and I are talking about Giraud/Phoenix IX, and we'll bring that to the discussion a little later

I like the idea of the Annihilators and Blastaar, etc.

I envision this team exactly as listed: high-level muscle with lots of types of energy wielders.

The characters listed are great for this team. I wonder about Vulcan though, since I see him as more of a villain. Captain Marvel would be great addition in terms of look, energy powers and strength.

Another female character I was thinking of is....Her, also known as Kismet, Ayesha or Paragon. I think "Paragon" is the best name. She has high-energy and super-strength and is a cosmic character. Paragon knows Quasar and participated with Quasar in "Operation Galactic Storm" in the early 1990's.

Adding Paragon would also add a second female character out of the 6 or 7 total characters. She has a distinct, alien look which would work with Gladiator's alien look.

Hey that’s really awesome. Yeah that was just a few ideas to try to piece the team together since other energy based characters were preoccupied with their own stories. But yeah I’m glad they are open to using this plot. Like the team is in an abandoned cave or something but it’s all taken over by the brood stuff you showed us before or something. So much cool potential

And yeah the team was just a lineup of characters I know mostly that are energy based. So there’s a little tunnel vision in who I went with. I tried to find characters who don’t seem to have their full arc yet to give them some screen time a bit but if people have other ideas for the team I think other people will be able to find others (should note Silver Surfer and Quasar are energy characters on the original Annihilators but I felt Silver Surfer might have other storylines. But idk the full story or anything yet lol)

I was also thinking of Oracle for the team as a female energy gal. She’s in the Shi’ar empire with Vulcan and Gladiator Though to be honest I could totally see the team being all male and kinda like a boy band. Maybe they can be the intergalactic Kpop group. Spop (Space Pop lol) I mean that lineup is pretty cute let’s be real lol

But yeah thanks for letting us know the writer liked it. I look forward to seeing where they take the story with them if. Let’s see if we can get them to write Gladiator saying “I’m putting together a team”

Good point about Vulcan. I kinda pictured him like the Raphael of the group. Anger gets in his way a lot but maybe he has a arc of redemption or maybe an arc to villainy. Or maybe he starts as a villain but joins the team later after he and gladiator make up. A Gladiator Vulcan Clark/Lex from smallville brotherly relationship could be cool. Or Anakin/obi wan lol

I stayed away from Psychics, like Oracle, because we have all the Phoenix-Characters in all of those story arcs.

    Still not sold on Vulcan.

To have a more rounded Female to Male ratio, what about Captain Marvel, Paragon and add Photon (Monica Rambeau)? Photon has many useful energy powers.

Ok Oracle was a suggestion but Iím not glued to her or anything

I think Vulcan provides good balance. Super strong can be unpredictable and can keep stories interesting with his personality. I personally like the idea of Gladiator and him having a complicated brotherhood that could turn or be redeemed. I really like Vulcan on there especially to show off how super strong he is.

There were plenty of characters I left out whether girl or boy. Like I said Silver Surfer and evening Beta Ray Bill were taken out. And Ikon who was female. I focused on the group itself and tried to find characters that might work. As I said it was a rough draft and I left the 6th spot open as well. Would Monica Rambeau be someone you want in the team? I mean I could see her and Bishop getting chummy and I would really enjoy seeing that.

I personally want Quasar because heís been a unique character to me since I first saw him. I think heís underrated as a character and deserves some love and heís super strong.

My personally wonderment wasnít about gender balance but rather was I leaving too much power on the table by taking off characters like Beta Rey Bill and Silver Surfer and putting Havok and Bishop. But I liked doing it because their characters fit really well into our idea.

Just my initial ideas. I am not trying to balance the team with M/F, so much as trying to get some great female characters onto the team. All just ideas so far, do not have my mind set on any character but here is what I got:

I really like these 3 characters to be on the team:
    1) Quasar: Would be great in the story, a "must-have"
    2) Gladiator: Needed muscle and other space powers
    3) Havok: His powers have never been explored much, but in space, he will really absorb and emit mega-powerful blasts.

Possible choices but not ones I have my mind set on:
Starhawk (Starkar); a cosmic character with many powers
Captain Marvel (Carol) could fit in well personality-wise and power-wise.
Photon Monica could fit in well and offer additional and other type of light powers.
Paragon, instead of Beta Ray Bill/Thor or Ikon would fit with her high super-strength, flight, energy powers
Bishop: A good choice since he can absorb and re-channel energy
Polaris: Energy powers plus her magnetic abilities; relationship plus or angst with Havok can add to the story

For me, ones I do not see being on this team:
    Silver Surfer
    Star Dancer
    Beta ray
    Ikon

Starhawk is an interesting choice he is unique. Not sure I would pick him over others but I do think heís a interesting suggestion for sure. Maybe Nova as well.

I do think Photon is an interesting choice as her powers offer something unique. They work in ways no one elseís does

I agree that like Beta Ray Bill and Ikon and them might not be the best choice if the idea of the team is to be revamped to more energy based.

I donít personally know the story of anything Silver Surfer is in so I didnít put him in, even though he is a original member.
Maybe he could be put in depending how popular he is among the writers but like I said he could have a completely different storyline going on.

I do feel Captain Marvel makes sense on the team. She does fill a good role just not a huge fan of the character. Maybe the writers can write her better than the way marvel writers write her that makes them have to keep rebooting her book.

Iím not much up on Paragon honestly she looks like something out of the new brood in google images lol.

Polaris tbh I just canít look at without thinking did Scarlett witch go green? Lol

I am trying to honor the original intent of the group of being an assembly of cosmic badasses while trying to include the specific plot of this story. I personally think Vulcan fits perfrctly and has a personality no one else does and brings omega level powers. Bishop was the one I was wondering if he belonged there on the omega scale. But his absorption was something I felt was unique. Havok even though heís from earth he is technically invulnerable to a lot of space radiation and stuff and could absorb stars and stuff. Iím not really sure how far Bishops powers can go BUT he had time travel experience and I thought maybe that could be handy somehow

I personally would put Vulcan over all those choices for lots of reasons but itís all about community

I think you and I agree on some of the choices and offer many characters for the community to choose from, which is great!

Paragon is the female Him, Adam, or most known as Warlock, but her powers are different. She is super-strong and fires high-energy blasts. She can fly and has met Starhawk before, so there is a tie there. She has golden/orange skin. But she has nothing to do with the Brood.

Lol, Polaris as the Emerald Witch.

I really like Starhawk character and with his cosmic awareness, he could help guide the team.

You are correct about Vulcan having Omega-level energy powers and that could certainly help in space.
