Yes, I think it's going to be about the Children of the Vault. It's what Scott most obviously regrets doing. He seems defiant to the Council. Maybe he's going to try to open the Vault to rescue Laura, Darwin and Synch without consulting the Council.

*&^% Marvel and Jason Aaron for this Phoenix bullshit. Seriously, nothing like co-opting one of the most known and important pieces of the X-mythos and giving it over to the Avengers. While I am not advocating for it to be back in the X-books at this time, it shouldn't be wielded by an avatar outside the X-line unless as an untethered cosmic entity. Creating faux Jeans both in the Iron Fost mythos and Avengers (homo sapiens and neanderthals were not even in existence 1 Million years ago, never mind red hair which only evolved 200,000 years ago) to co-opt this power and iconography is sadly typical for the looters known as the Avengers.
