Default Best/Worst Single Writer On Your Favorite Characters

If you had to pick both the best and worst single writers on your favorite characters who would they be? Appearances in titles that aren't focused on them can also count if you wish (team or event books).

To give a starter for me

    Wonder Woman
    Best: Greg Rucka
    Worst: Tom Taylor

    Flash -

    Best: Geoff Johns
    Worst: Geoff Johns

(Though a New-52 era writer might edge him out on worst, and Waid is of equal stature with him on best.)

The new 52 deserves every bit of worst rankings.

I'd probably put whoever had Hal sleep with Arisha at the top.

Not really. You can name three great Superman writers right off the top of the head from that era. The New 52 Batman run with Snyder was mega popular even by Batman standards. Johns on Aquaman reinvigorated the character. Azz's Wonder Woman put her back on the map despite its controversies. King on Swamp Thing was a big success, counting as another character reinvigoration. Grayson was an incredibly well-received turnabout on the adventures of Dick Grayson. Regardless what one feels about the reboot scenario, it had plenty of good writers producing good runs for a variety of characters.

Hmm, yeah. Feels like Johns can be both Hal's best friend or worst enemy at times re-reading his stuff.
