Since I'm in the middle of writing fanfic featuring her mother as a supernatural detective par excellence and leader of a 1960s version of the Strikeforce team, let's go with Misty Knight.
Tony Stark/Iron Man. He lead the Avengers well in the Korvac Saga and Bride of Ultron. Also was co leader of the Mighty Avengers with Ms. Marvel at the time. Also co leader with Scarlet Witch during Force Works. He made Carol and Wanda field leaders, but he would override the decisions he thought weren’t right and also was Director of S.H.E.I.L.D. He is a brilliant tactician and strategist and is also known as the best multitasker in the world and can lead more than one team at the same time.

"We live in a world of cowards. We live in a world full of small minds who are afraid. We are ruled by those who refuse to risk anything of their own. Who guard their over bloated paucities of power with money. With false reasoning. With measured hesitance. With prideful, recalcitrant inaction. With hateful invective. With weapons. F@#K these selfish fools and their prevailing world order." Tony Stark
My favorite leaders;
Captain America - Avengers
Nightcrawler - Excalibur
Cyclops - X-Men
Dani Moonstar - New Mutants
Sunspot - Avengers Idea Mechanics
Songbird - Thunderbolts
Monica Rambeau - Nextwave / Ultimates
While I'm a big fan of some other characters, like Jamie Madrox, he's just a terrible leader, IMO.
Captain America or Cyclops, but another option I'd like to see moving forward would be Richard Rider Nova. Not only is he a fierce combatant, but he's shown himself to be selfless, and a battle tested leader during Annihilation.

My Top 3:
1. Captain America
2. Cyclops
3. Hawkeye

Well obviously my number one is Captain America. But I also like Cyclops as a leader.
I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.

For some reason or another I like Ultimate Captain America more than I like 616 Cap. I don't know why.
Steve Rogers.
Mystique, if she's allowed to bring Destiny with her.
