Should batman use a mask that covers his mouth?

there has been a bunch of discussions about this in the past and on how pretty much anyone could try to kill batman by shooting him in the mouth without any trouble and I seem to remember a comic(dont remember which one, batman beyond) which even mentions how he does use a protection on he mouth that protects it but its still seethrough for some reason.

Designwise it doesnt really makes sense, its mostly a reminicence of how Batman's suit was basically just a costume instead of an armor.

Batman did wear a mouth mask during the Amazo virus pandemic and sometimes when Joker and Scarecrow get involved, but so far the DCU earth haven't been addressing the real world pandemic so until they do, they won't

About the sniping, I put it in the same drawer as why Nightwing or the other characters with exposed head doesn't wear a helmet even after getting shot. Branding.

Good point. After what happened to him, realistically, Dick should now have a helmet similar to Signal's. Of course, he won't.

Bruce Wayne will never cover his mouth as Batman either unless he's wearing a specialised armour (for breathing in space or like you said, for avoiding Scarecrow's and Joker's toxins). However, that doesn't mean other Batmen won't. Batman Beyond obviously does. A full mask would also hide the fact a legacy Batman (i.e. Luke Fox) isn't white. Dick can get away with impersonating Bruce, and Tim probably can as well. Luke and Duke can't (seriously, any time Diggle took the Green Arrow role in the Arrow TV show was unrealistic, as surely bad guys would notice his brown skinned clean shaven chin, instead of the usual white skinned bearded one?).

Batman should probably incorporate some more oxygen masks into his get up, if the situation calls for it.
