What DC stories from the Silver age do you feel still hold up today?
What DC stories from the Silver age do you feel still hold up today?
Wow! This is hard. There are many stories that still hold up until now, but if I must choose then the stories that really hold up to this day and STILL getting mention over and over in today's comics would be the Silver Age Barry Allen story of 'The Flash of Two Worlds' and 'The Flash of the Future (the first appearances of Eobard Thawne'.
Most Flash and Green Lantern silver age stories were pretty crazy and ahead of their time.
Some of the Spectre stories from the 30s hold up as well.
Superman and Batman's Brokeback Titanic
On the boat
has to sleep in the same room
found out each other's identity
Well, maybe Clark should've been able to change in superspeed but that's not funny
I'd say HAWKMAN by Gardner Fox & Joe Kubert

Kiby's "New Gods" series was the first one I could think of. I read it way after the fact and thought it was amazing.
Flash holds up pretty well in the sense that if you rewrote the stories today, most of the character beats and the style of the adventures would remain the same. (Or rather, "could".)
I had to double check because I almost couldn't believe it was early enough to be considered silverage. You could call it early Bronze, but regardless, it absolutely holds up and was so ahead of its time.
