I see everyone's fate but my own. Sometimes that scares me. But when I see the future of someone such as yourself, I believe in tomorrow again

So, looks like black adam was R rated and had to be heavy edited to get a PG-13.

In other words, were getting a chopped up version.

Why would you make a shazam spin-off R rated wb?

If you guys are talking about what I think you're talking about then yeah, I had about the same reaction when I read the summary leak a few days ago. It confirmed what I'd been worried was going to happen.

So unnecessary and an all-around waste.

According to the article, it was never meant to be an R-rated film: they had to make some cuts to make sure the MPA didn't give it an R-rating.

Probably because of how brutal Black Adam is supposed to be.

I very much doubt they actually intended to make a big budget R-rated Black Adam. In fact, I would guarantee they didn't.

*Joker* only got to be R because the budget was kept low.

Black Adam not having a scene of him poking someone's eyeballs through the skull is not a big deal to me.

Just like Wolverine not being too graphic with his stabbings in the earlier X-Men movies.

Not a huge surprise based on the trailers, but it has four weeks with no competition, so I don’t expect critics will have much impact.

And a 2 month long blockbuster dry spell before that, mostly filled with horror movies and the odd counter programmer. And Top Gun Maverick stragglers.

I usually only read 2-3 reviewers/sites at best and one already gave it thumbs up so I'm good to go.

There's going to be a lot more reviews coming in (probably more than 300) but so far it looks mixed but nowhere near Suicide Squad 1/Morbius lolcow levels of critical trashing.

The critical reception for Aquaman was pretty mixed but it ended up doing well.

    BA will do well.

It has no competition and the reviews are mixed not bad.

Sometimes, you just want to watch a movie and have a good time. I just hope it’s a good time..
