Default X-Men Monday #76 JDW Answers Your X of Swords Week 1 Questions

    https://aiptcomics.com/2020/09/21/x-...swords-week-1/

Jordan: I think you will know the answer to this a lot more clearly two days from now. X of Swords: Creation #1 should hopefully answer any questions you have about what Otherworld has to do with it and where Arakko is relative to everything else.

Jordan: That’s a great question. It was a collaborative effort–I mean, I think the people who did the heaviest lifting on that were Jonathan and Tini. A lot of the Amenth and Arakko stuff was Jonathan and a lot of the, well, there’s another big section of it that was Tini–I don’t want to say too much of what it is yet. You’ll see shortly.

Some Madelyne info and Doug too.

I'm going for Saturnyne based on the fur collar alone.

Anyway, LMAO at the whole Storm and Maddie were such good friends bit. Editorial *does* know Storm's crew couldn't be bothered to show up for Maddie's original funeral, right?

Emma wears blue lipstick, and is more fond of cutaway tits panels. There, completely different.

Nah, that's the margarine of fur collars. Saturnyne is rocking the real deal.

I can totally see any of Emma's former students randomly punching her. How this somehow didn't become an in-verse meme shall remain a mystery for the ages.

No one looks as good in fur as Emma Frost. No one.

I know. I was merely mocking the fact that there's so little difference in character visual/wardrobe design that something as ridiculous as the shape and size of a fur collar - of all things - might provide a legitimate hint/giveaway as to who the hell we're supposed to be looking at.

Looks like the Atlantian were in Amenth. There was a panel in X-Men #12 where Summoner mentioned another group of mutants setting out to find a different solution to deal with the Amentii hoard, but have been unheard of since. The panel showed a group similar to the above panel. Also this will probably tie into Giant-Size Magneto.

I appreciate how Jordan broke-down the Jean-Phoenix-Madelyne relationship. It goes to show that at least the current editors in X-Office know and understand the Inferno Storyline. It would be beneficial if we could get a flashback scene to the QC meeting, so that a clear explanation was provided for those who haven’t read Inferno. It is a really good question as to who exact is this “Madelyne”. Is she a psychic eco crates by X-Man, is she a alternate reality Jean/Madelyne, or a Phoenix Fragment unleashed in Phoenix: Endsong? It has never been properly explored in narrative since she appeared in the Brubaker/Fraction run.
