X-Factor #4 preview (X of Swords chapter 2)

No more than X-Cutioner’s Song (the last TRUE crossover like this I can remember). Brandon Peterson, Andy Kubert, and Greg Capullo mesh well together, but the X-Factor issues clashed with Jae Lee’s very stylized art. It’s not bad. I like it. But it didn’t blend.

Second Coming remains my modern gold standard for X-overs both in terms of story continuity as well as complimentary artists. Apart from David Finch, you had these artists who meshed very well together: Terry Dodson, Ibraim Roberson, Greg Land, and Mike Choi.

I’m going to assume Summoner learned enough to let the Horsemen know about the Protocols, so odds are Pestilence would make sure anything she gives will pass to their anima if Charles tries to real-time it

Art's pretty good but the penciler seemed to have trouble with the larger characters.

that's how betsy brought brian back the dark magic of morgan (who by the vivesication apocalype did, had the same corruption as the enemy from amenth that split okarra) and how apoc gave melody back her identity.

-Siryn, a seasoned hero, uses her formidable sonic powers to YELL FOR HELP seems a bit "damsel" for the character.
-"Rictor, if you lay back on the arrow like that, it's going to break off or push into your body. Both cases make the injury worse."

I mean why waste time flying off to get some help when you literally have a voice that can carry for miles.

It would be so dope if Larraz could draw all 22 parts. While this art is good, it's hard to follow Pepe Larraz.
