Does this really happen a lot though?
It's not as if Lois and Jimmy aren't weirdness magnets who get caught up in stuff all on their own even before Superman becomes connected to the situation. Since they are also publically close to Superman anyway before they learn the secret, what difference does it make if they or anybody else doesn't know he's also Clark Kent? They are already aware their very public association with him is a possible danger are prepared to take precautions. Signal watch?
Those two might be more of a target but not much changes in general, however, anyone at the Daily Planet or a civilian in the DCU who is a friend of Superman gets the same problem and not everyone can survive death trap on a weekly basis like they can. Pa and Ma Kent would be sitting ducks. I think this happened on Smallville, as soon as the villain of the week figured out who Clark Kent was all his friends and family were put in the crosshairs.
The daily planet doesn't need to own upto what clark does. They could easily distance themselves. As for superman, he is superman. The only one who would be in trouble is lois. And she deserves some of it cause she is a biased journalist . Superman already faces death every day. Not much of a big deal. Rogue gallery already attack daily planet regardless all the time.
Moreover, you are just proving my point.Truth will only cause trouble. As long as Clark's truth doesn't get revealed he would be alright. Proving that the lie is better alternative . Clark had a right to stay hidden from humanity who would only see him with eyes clouded by hate and fear. As a vigilante, he was able to channel that to make statements and to help those that are in need of it. As clark, he stayed low and lived his life as working class dude.

The question is, who does Lois fall in love with first, Superman or Clark Kent?
Realistically, she has to be an idiot (like Lena is in the Supergirl show) to Not notice Clark and Superman look alike a lot! Especially when she interacts with both upclose. So it depends how she interacts with them. In the old movies, she didn't seem to pay much attention to Clark like she did Superman, but once she starts a romantic relationship and gets really close to his face, she has to notice!!
He co-worker at the Daily Planet.. whatever that is to you..
To quote Jerry Seinfeld:
"I'd say when the nipple makes its first appearance".
Lol I don’t think that’s ever been a thing in the comics. Super powered people can have sex with normals without any problem. Sure “realistically” they couldn’t but an alien who looks exactly like a human except he has powers isn’t a realistic concept to begin with. Ironically the only hero I know of who has had a story where their powers killed their partner thanks to sex is Spider-Man. Radioactive semen, Jesus what were they thinking approving that?
