Acoustic guitar recommendation (Budget: USD $200)

For guitar players, what are some good new or used guitars within my budget?

First stop should be craigslist or OfferUp. Great deals on used gear to be had. You’ll get a much better guitar used for $200.

See what’s being offered in your price range and google reviews. Don’t get a nylon string guitar unless you want to play classical specifically.

For that you can buy a decent used acoustic at Guitar Center usually. But if you are looking new, your options might be limited to Ibanez (an economy brand). If you are a new guitar player that would be fine for you to learn on. If you can finance something a little more upscale but still reasonable, then you might look at Schecter guitars. They sound a little better than Ibanez, look nicer and are more durable.

Check to see if you have a local music store, as well. Guitar Center is... meh.
