Yeah, the first incarnations of Wonder Woman that I came in contact with definitely didn't make me fall in love with her. Wonder Woman is a very ideological franchise, so my rules are always about what fits her ideology the best

Didn't they kill whatever momentum Dawn of DC had by hitting the breaks on it for that Williamson event last year? Why would they do that again with one of the only books they have that's selling well?

They really start it out w/Batwoman? Just because it would be a cool pairing.

At least they went with the clear choice for nr. 1 and not one of their surprise ranking list and have Batman or Superman be nr. 1.

I still don't get the appeal of Artemis as a love interest. Diana doesn't need to date a "bad girl", she needs someone poetic. Diana admires creativity and care, rather than strength.
I like Artemis, but she is a much better love interest for someone else.

I was gonna say I don't think they've ever been presented as a couple but then I remembered Morrison had them make out in Earth One.

I think that many people love that pairing due to its inherent contrast and dramatic potential. Part of me understands the appeal, but another part of me finds this contrast boring and clichéd at this point.

Yes, yes they did. I’ll never understand that one. To add salt on the wound, said event wasn’t even good, lol

My theory is that most of the Dawn of DC books were released too early and creative teams needed couple of months to catch up with the schedule.

Been thinking about King's run and might be nothing but is the Outlaw/Sovereign arc trying to be King's attempt at a WW "Hush" storyline?

    -New villain (Hush/Sovereign)
-Change in the status quo (Bruce revealing his identity to Selena, America vs. The Amazons)
    -Cameo from Superman (issue #7)
-Showcase for the supporting characters/side heroes
    -A run the villains gauntlet
-Carried very heavily by the art.

Yeah I guess so. What are the implications of that?

Hush is often mentioned as a good entry level story for Batman because it showcases lots of characters, is mostly standalone and has great art. So I guess implication is that this is expected to be entry level run for WW.

From what we have seen so far I would say it is a good entry level for WW. Shows some of her villains and they get explained fast and easy, shows Steve Trevor and the Wonder Girls with their personalities. The only thing yet is not a good showing for her pacifist/ambassador of peace side. But still that has come through here and there, but not like in a big way.
