Sorry. After reading the Sandman Mystery Theatre thread, I got frustrated thinking how good Batman could be if he was approached in a similar manner instead of what's being done now.

no need to apologize man, I get the frustration. I think Batman has become a victim of his own popularity and DC's editorial mismanagement of said popularity. it's kinda hard being a grounded honest to goodness detective character when you have to stretch his presence across the entire DC universe.

I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Holey gee wilickers Batman! That would be ludicrous!

Next thing you know, people would say he would be marketable as a non-jerk character. Bah!

Alright well this may be more likely thanks to Justice League Dark...how about Swamp Thing cosmic and multiverse adventurer, traveling on adventures by means of alien plant life.

Jackson Hyde as Aquaman II - Shonen Space Pirate, something with more outer space sea gods from Aquaman: Drowned Earth

A "Predator"-type movie with Vixen as the Predator, and poachers encounter her and try to survive.

Clark Kent and Lois Lane - Crime Mystery

    Cyborg - Multiverse Travelling

Raven - Psychological Thriller and Psychological Horror in the vein of Legion TV show.

Wonder Girl - Fantasy Adventure in the vein of Percy Jackson.

The Atom - Science-Fiction Horror, stuck in an eldritch dimension below the microverse.

Animal Man - Comedy Drama, most of the characters would be talking animals similar to Dr. Doolitle.

Beast Boy - Monster and Body Horror.

I think pretty much every fan wants something along the lines of a Sandman Mystery Theater for their favorite character. Batman's lucky, he's had many great stories over the years, far more than many of DC's characters.
