Did anyone else only count nine swords? There was no description for Magneto (assumed sword-holder from the silhouette image). (EDIT: I see it's being addressed a few posts before my post went up!)

I'm enjoying the progress of the XoS story a lot, but four issues into Leah's X-Factor and I am still not digging the dialogue. It's so heavy-handed and melodramatic. The way Erik yelled at Lorna. Lorna treating herself like a punching bag. Even Emma (although in character) sounded so juvenile.

The pacing and art didn't super match either. At first it seemed like the resurrected Rockslide was evil and going to attack. Then it just jumped to Xavier and the five discussing things. Also, the shot of all the Cerebro cradles made it seem like something way more serious was happening, and then it was just revealed that they went offline for a bit. Really disoriented storytelling.

Yeah, I think it does end up making sense. A lot for Polaris to take in.

Considering that we have two covers of Doug being a nerd that they have to train because he doesn't know fencing and that in New Mutants we see Warlock without Doug...

Yeah, his casualty is potentially the most catastrophic for mutants. Especially since Krakoa will be furious if it loses contact with Arakko and they will have no way of communicating with it.

also, the Roma and Merlin data pages didn't fit into the story at all. Really weird story structure even though the "meat" of the story was great.

This definitely challenges the resurection protocols. It may be unethical, but knowing that death may be permanent if it occurs in Otherworld, maybe they need to start cloning the 10 before the battle starts

We know that there are "FORCE protocols" that allow cloning in exceptional cases, I wonder if that will be explored in X-Force.

I would gander that Lorna is feeling so upset as she was unable to save him, which likely goes back to being the survivor of the Genoshian assault and has triggered some PTSD.

Actually, if they're counting both of Gorgon's swords then no, they got 10.

That’s why Doug is perfect to die. He was barely in the new mutants book so no book NEEDS him but him dying creates conflict, plus we will probably get crazy evil “new” Doug who wants to join the phalanx or something. Who knows? Though technically they could kill any character and the ones we see going forward are the reboot versions of them

At this point it is whatever they want things to be when the story suits it, but if we can trust Hickman gave us the rules and has not changed them, it possible nothing odd about Otherworld is happening, but maybe it specifically has to do with Rockslide and how Summoner killed him (or did not kill him).

those seem like setup pages for things they're gonna show us later. I'm seeing a pattern where these fact pages seem to be overviews or tee-up previews of what the narrative will be going into detail next.
