No way them Dukes can look like heroes with a confederate flag on their car. How about a horror film a la wrong turn, deliverance, get out etc where the boys do plenty of harm. They don't take kindly to outsiders, do awful stuff with Daisy and arrow related homicides.

Or they could just lose the Confederate flag, call the car something else and the problem would be solved. But we've already had Dark Fantasy Island (twice actually). Clearly, Hollywood is desperate enough and bereft of ideas enough that they might try something like this.

Yeah, though it does seem like something MonkeyPaw Productions would consider as a horror comedy. However, I think Bo and Luke would make better comic heroes completely compromised by their overconfidence in their own intelligence, bravery and competence against some horrific monsters rather than being actual villains themselves.

Still, in that sense, I'd rather see another Tucker and Dale movie.

Just to get it of the way: Changing the name and taking the flag off the Dodge makes it not even worth it. So, def. against that idea.
A haunted car, though, that might be an interesting take. The Dukes would be as afraid of it as the bad guys. There’s potential there.

Metaphor for a rural family forced to face what their "heritage" actually means?

Who would go see it, though? Who's the audience? Movies cost money and need to make it back plus profit.

It might be interesting to have the main characters be strangers passing through that somehow end up trapped in Hazzard County from the show. They are caught up in what would be to them terrifying situations with these brothers as agents of chaos in a town where everyone just seems insane and nothing ever changes no matter how much madness and destruction goes on every day. People in the town never die, grow old or remain seriously injure from all the "shenanigans" but the main characters are from the real world, and if something happens to them, it doesn't heal up in the next episode.
