    Default Time Variance Authority?

So marvel has this time police time Variance Authority. (they also have dr who also. Wonder how they work with dr whos group?)

So they arrest she-hulk for bringing hawkeye to today and arrest fantastic four as well.

Yet nova who did the same thing as she-hulk with namorita and gets away scott free. Two gun kid gets arrested for going in time but other time jumpers like bishop don't.

Then there is the one that sticks out like a sore thumb. Why they heck has kang not been arrested yet? All kangs take over times. That's a pretty big time crime there! Kang should have been the first they took down! What about dr doom, tomorrow man (who grabbed heroes from the past and brings them to today!), cable, bishop, death's head? Deadpool and spider-man time jumped in the past also. Why has conan not been arrested?

Why are they not in jail. This group arrests two gun kid but not kang? They stink at their jobs.

Huh? What do you mean about She-Hulk and Hawkeye? Clint's resurrection was by reality warping in House of M, not by time travel.

The Nova rescuing Namorita incident happened off world, so the TVA may not have been able to do anything. Besides, that's really Sphinx's fault for making it possible by snatching them both from time anyway.

In she-hulk she brings a past hawkeye to today and is arrested for it. She is almost erased from the timeline due to it!

Kang kills past heroes and messes with history but they don't arrest him.

That's the trouble with time groups like this in comics. Where were they in house of m, aoa, avengers vol 3 issue 4, jla vs avengers and others! They stink at their jobs!

It has nothing to do with their competence but everything to do with putting constrains in telling stories if every writer were to be told to adhere to time-travel rules.

If the organization works like it's supposed to, they already know how things are going to end before they get involved, and if a situation works out in the end, it might be better to let it play out rather than to try to nip it in the bud. They only act when things are going to get really screwed up if they don't act.

    Ain't time travel wonderful?

Kang is in charge of the Time Variance Authority, so they never go after him for that reason. Nova is only 17 I believe, so not an adult and doesn't fall into their purview.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

Neither Nova is 17. Sam's only 15 or 16 and Rich should be in his 20s by now. It's Rich that we're talking about, by the way.

Time Variance Authority dosen't seemed to have any kind of authority over kang or his various incarnations.

kang answers to his own council of kangs.

immortus answers to the time keepers.

Kang is the boss? So these "time cops" group has a boss who breaks every law they set up and kills any one he wants from anytime?

That makes them worse then bad at their jobs that makes them thugs to a crook.

Also nova was not a kid at the time and the out of time namorita is still hanging around today!

I think it's safe to say that history was altered, and Namorita was no longer present in Civil War #1, and probably not in the New Warriors mini immediately before that either (because of the transformation she had prior to that series). I fact, Microbe is now the only NW that died there, as Speedball survived, Debrii and Nova were absent and Night Thrasher was similarly time displaced in Contest of Champions, only he got pulled from immediately before Nitro blew up i.e. the exact moment he should've died.

He was 17 when the series began.

I simply didn't take into consideration how long he aged. But really, I got nothing.

Rich Rider celebrated his 21st birthday during Vol.2 of his own book around the same time as he was in the New Warriors. That was published in 1994. So going roughly by Marvel Time he's presently somewhere between 22-26; Early 20's

Kang is not their boss. In fact, they've had multiple territorial disputes with Kang thoughout various timelines and realities.

So "time politics". So even time cops can't escape them!

The Time Variance Authority did come after Doom, but the got Kristoff by mistake. In FF #352, Reed and Doom were having a duel in time, rapidly jumping back and forth by seconds. The TVA put the Fantastic Four on trial instead when they thought they had gotten rid of Doom.
