I just saw the first one last weekend. It was fun, albeit not as good as the 90s live action movie.

It was pretty good! Maybe a bit too much focus on Wednesday over everyone else but otherwise decent. The casting was pretty dead on.

Aww c'mon that's not nearly fair. Raul Julia's Gomez is simply too perfect for anything to be compared to. I miss Raul Julia so much.

True, he was perfectly cast there. I also liked his Bison from Street Fighter, but that's more a guilty pleasure. But his Gomez was nearly defining.
Same with Uncle Fester (forgot the actor's name, but Doc from Back to the Future).
Better Morticia too.
Man just the whole cast was perfect in that.
(I had a crush on Christina Ricci's Wednesday as a kid - and as an adult I still think she's a very pretty and interesting actress)

This movie was fun, but the script lacked oomph.
