I would say that we could just go back to calling this "The Irredeemable Ant-Man" or some such back in the Marvel forum, but I'm pretty sure that given the board's Brand New Day, we'd get kicked back to the community forum and/or told to get back on point or have the thread locked re: Ant-Man when we inevitably (and nigh-immediately) drifted off topic.

Heh, I was always worried about that at the very beginning of the thread on Newsarama -- staying on point juuuuuust enough in the early days to avoid locking, and then they eventually stopped telling us to stay on topic and left us alone.

That might work. Even if we just called it the Marvel Community thread or something might work What did you call the thread at Newsarama?

Thanks for the welcomes, everyone! I must say, you guys have an interesting history. I used to hang around Newsarama, but never got to join the forums before it's shutdown. Interesting how things come full circle for me. This forum reboot is going to be weird, though, to say the least.

I think so; it seemed to work well with the last 20 odd iterations.

I used to post a bit at Newsarama too and it seemed to me a lot more of the comics pros posted there. Once I settle in here I used to lurk there once in a while. But when the boards went to that crummy design I never went back. They were almost as bad as the boards Marvel used to have on their site.

It looks like they're just tossing all the off topic stuff here. The X-boards will probably lose a big chunk of their post count with X-Cres gone. But then the appreciation threads will make up for part of it.
