Wonder Woman Future State books announced

Yara looks rad. Hope she's cool and they find a way to incorporate her into the mainline if so. I don't think she needs to be Wonder Girl to become Wonder Woman. Just give her a unique identity and branch the Wonder family out more.

If she sucks, well, at least she's got a rad design that will get to grace some lovely pages by Joelle Jones. She, Dan Mora and Lee Weeks can make anything look great so let's see what's up.


I swear if those aren't mementos from fallen friends Diana is sporting, but instead trophies, I'm out. I'd get this to see Jen Barrel do inheritor art alone but that would be a deal breaker.

A lot of people seem to think this will be a dystopian future, despite it not really giving off that vibe outside the Batfamily books.

Well, things with Metropolis aren't much better.

So, uh, where is Diana meant to be in the "present" of Future State? Most of the books are supposedly set around 2030/ten years from now, a few are a few years earlier (Batman/Superman) or later (Justice League), but Immortal Wonder Woman is far, FAR future, disconnected from everything else.

So since since she's almost certainly meant to be alive... is she going to show up anywhere?

Probably, the Snyder story from #750 was supposed to be the prologue to DiDio's original 5G so probably still happened.

Alan also appeared there so maybe another reason it's his ring.

So is there a relationship between Yara and Ya'Wara (from New 52 Aquaman)? Because they have similar looking names, appearances and national origin...

I highly doubt it. Those similarities are superficial at best. Ya'Wara was not an amazon.
