Why do you think that's Queen Clea? I actually hope it's not because her design is nowhere near as good as Queen Clea's.

It's also a nice contrast in dynamic with Bruce calling him "Clark."

That’s a neat observation, I do like that as a contrast.

In some ways I thought it was because it's his truest name, given that it's what he was born with, but also a friendly affirmation of his other side since everyone calls him Clark. She's the only one who ever really seemed to remember his Kryptonian heritage was more than a source for superpowers and I liked that their bond was, more than even J'onn and Clark, one of two people being of two worlds; the juxtaposition being man's world is new to her whereas his heritage is new to him, but they love and learn about their new paradigms as best they can.

Yeah that’s pretty close to my own personal belief on why she should call him “Kal”. I like to think it’s a gentle reminder to him that he was refugee from elsewhere who survived because two people who didn’t owe him anything chose to adopt him out of the kindness of their hearts. A way of reminding Kal to likewise look out for those who are powerless and in need of help.

Thanks for answering, but the headpiece is key. It's part of her whole Egyptian Viking Atlantean thing. That's way too drastic a change, they should just give her a blouse.

"Nasty" or not, it's definitely looks less generic than that woman fighting Yara Flor.

Awwww that's too bad, it's fascinating to me how now people are unaware of pop culture before their birth year. I wanted to know what came before me, I know Beetles songs by heart but wasn't alive when they were a band. You can't know the future but you can dive deep into the past.

But back to Queen Clea that's pretty much her Golden Age design from the 1940's, why is it so much more risqué now than to audiences then?

Love this! Nubia's Future State look is vastly better in black and white! Don't know why but the red and blue give her a New Gods vibe to me, like something Big Barda would wear. I wish she had her own colors and a symbol other than a modified eagle.
