I would appreciate if these characters aren't all no-names and actually have some kind of history to them.

Gotham is under the thumb of a dictator?
I feel like I'm more interested to see how the rogues react to that.

Looks like you'll get some of that in Future State: Harley Quinn.

Vibe did get a short-lived solo in the new 52 so they did try to revamp him.

His problems were tied to his intro in the 80s. Fans have long memories and they hold grudges.

Sideways doesn't hurt Vibe to me.

The vampire looking one could be a child of Man-Bat.

The simian could be a revamped Gorbul Mammit https://dc.fandom.com/wiki/Gorbul_Mammit_(New_Earth)
    These are cool pitches.

I'm ok with new names. Dc and Marvel feel too insular and thats more of a problem for TT.

I think there are plenty of other characters that could be used to expand the franchise without needing a bunch of new characters in my opinion.

People complain about new characters too much while in the same breath talking about how they don't like "replacements" and that DC should come up with new characters, while at the same time talking about how much they like legacy but only for specific characters and not when they actually take over a mantle...

Too many mixed messages, so I'm glad in this case DC is ignoring fans.
My priority is black female characters; everything else is secondary.

    ~~

Marvel: Miles Morales, Riri Williams, Ororo Munroe, Thor, Quentin Quire.
DC Comics: Vixen, Batman, Bat Family, John Stewart, Roy Harper, Tempest, Poison Ivy, Raven.
Comics: Y: The Last Man, Justice League America (2009), Ultimate Comics: All New Spider-Man (2011)
Ships: Thororo/ThunderStorm, Vixen/hasn't been created, Jason Todd/Kathy Duquesne.

I think in this case it's more that there are a bunch of lesser name or obscure Titans, or younger Titans who got ignored with a subsequent relaunch, that DC could be focusing on instead of a bunch of new characters.

    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

they had an interesting variation on the FS: Justice League cover where they have this Batman's face exposed. this is the second time we've seen this Batman's face exposed, maybe at this point Batman is more comfortable exposing his face or it may be a different Batman than the Timothy version in The Next Batman

Maybe Gotham's no longer a totalitarian dictatorship that requires him to hide his identity so thoroughly?
