I'm not interested in Tim being Robin again so thats a pass for me.
So I guess Future State will actually impact current stories or at least Batman, because apparently we are going to see the Magistrate origins. And apparently a second Batman by Tynion in March.

"It's fun and it's cool, so that's all that matters. It's what comics are for, Duh."
Words to live by.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki
also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.
currently following:
- DC: Red Hood: The Hill
- Marvel: TBD
- Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force
"power does not corrupt, power always reveals."
I was kind of wondering if the anti-vigilante direction for present-day Gotham was leading to Future State. I'm curious when things will swerve back.
I wonder if Tynion's new book is Batman and Robin with Tim. I don't think it's going to be Luke.
Punchline becoming Harper's nemesis? Tynion pitting his two characters together and keeping Bluebird relevant? Okay.
That is not really new since it was something explained by the Batman editor during his interview with Newsarama when Future State was revealed
Also, Tynion also emphasizes on the fact how Future State is just a possible future and is not actually set in stone"With the Bat group title, it's definitely a look towards the future," Abernathy says. "How much of that future is true is uncertain, because decisions in the present can always change the future. On one hand, yes they're great standalone stories but the seeds... wait, 'Future State' doesn't plant seeds; it's already crop-grown. The seeds are already planted; these stories will come to fruition in the main line."
So yeah, we're back at Future State being Convergence/Future's End 2.0 where if it sells it will get followups beyond the two months but if doesn't grab's people attention it will be quietly pushed aside. You'll be reading a lot about The Magistrate, and a character named Peacekeeper One in those Future State books, but it won't be until March and beyond that you see their origins in the real, present-day Gotham City. Future State is meant to be a glimpse into a possible future of the DCU, filled with lots of easter eggs that will hint at (but not bind) the direction of the line moving forward.
Interesting. I didn't think much of Future's End, and entirely missed Convergence.
Actually Future's End left me sour when they killed Kate, after turning her into a brainwashed vampire, and making her twin sister the hero. It was like an F-you to Kate fans. Really not keen on how Future State is looking like it could be doing something similar with Jason and Damian (but at least they won't be vampires!).
Harper I don't really care about either way, but her fans finally have something to look forward after a long gap, so that's good for them.
