    I voted blue/gold.

I used to think the worst was bendis/aaron era, the first time i ever dropped the X books completely was after reading Xavier's last will and testament arc.

But at least bendis' run was good at the beginning, the blue/gold era was bad from start to finish.

haven't read Rosenbergs run but it doesn't sound like i missed much.

    This is really tough.

I'm also sort of bothered by the lack of inclusion of the Morrison run.... the most overhyped and still controversial. Think he still did some bad long term damage and had some bad moments.

I'm also bothered by Onslaught/OZT on here. That was actually mostly good stuff. OZT gave us fun things like Marrow, Maggott, Cece Reyes. No I'm not joking.

The Twelve /Revolutions was pretty bad honestly but there's much worse.

Utopia wasn't that bad. Not great either.

    Extraordinary/Gold/Blue was mostly just forgettable.

It's a toss up. If we aren't going with Morrision/Casey/Austen it has to be Bendis. Bendis was a whole bunch of nothing and ignoring years of continuity. Then he yolo's the Iceman thing so his run wouldn't be so forgettable. That awful Battle for the Atom crossover.

The Rosenberg run gets an honorable mention. Though I think he had decent ideas and tried to use different characters. The whole thing was a rushed mess that made no sense and everyone just pointlessly dies.

The Terrigen era of the X-men books is the worst, and might even beat Austen. Rosenberg's run is nearly there, but at least it was shorter and in parts of it we knew something better was coming.

The era between the year 2000 and now. Books are pretty decent now I guess, though the only ones I care for are Wolverine and X-Force.

Claremont's return is worse than Austen's run. Not sure where he lost his steam because I enjoyed X-Men Forever.

    Other.

    The Morrison era.
Hated the outfits, hated cat Beast, and really began to dislike Cyclops around that time.

I have to agree. Those were some dark years.
Rosenberg's run is my least favorite of all time. MUCH worse than even Austen's.

Hard to pick just one, but I guess Bendis is 2nd place. He only added to the damage Austin forever did on one of my favs.

Either the current one or Utopia. I really hate "all the mutant live on an island and are being jerks" stories.

    Utopia through AvX.

    Yuck yuck yuck.

Wolverine and the X-Men saved my X-Men comics life.

Voting Bendis - is that a thing?
    It's the thing.
    The guy from the FF?
No that's The Thing, this is just a thing

    Yeah. Bendis.

    Yeah, Bendis is a thing.

(And yes I know this post should have been stretched out to six-to-eight posts for a real Bendis feel, I just didn't want to spam)
I guess the worst part is that I find his writting entertaining and so is your post lol

I'm a little surprised to see EXM rank so high. It wasn't great, but I don't think it was "top"/bottom 5 for me.

So I agree with this because his return was bad and quite dull, but his artists saved him (Coipel, Bachalo, and Andy Park were all fun to see). I also think End of Greys was damn near perfect.

Man, we've really suffered. I already forgot about it lol.

    Revising:
    1. Utopia (specifically Fraction, but I don't think I liked many titles in that era. Generation Hope was good, but not great, and was maybe my favorite of the lineup.)
    2. Blue/Gold (hated the writing, the aesthetic, the lineups...the only saving grace was Generation X.)
    3. Rosenberg (bonus points for being brief)
    4. Alan Davis as writer
    5. Claremont's return

I still have criticisms, but this thread makes me more grateful for Dawn of X.
