Default Other than Chuck Austin - What's your Least Favorite Era for the X-Men?

(This is inspired by some posts in the controversial opinions thread)

I was curious what you guys and girls think was the worst extended stretch for the X-Men as a franchise (outside of Chuck Austin because that's obviously the answer otherwise). I don't mean in terms of sales but in terms of your preference and assessment of quality.

I've tried to break it down into the eras I think of as being the most derided.

    1. The Silver Age issues between Jack Kirby and Neal Adams

    2. The Post Siege Perilous "No Team" era circa UXM 264

    3. The Onslaught/Operation Zero Tolerance end of Scott Lobdell era

    4. The Alan Davis "The Twelve" Era

    5. Claremont's first return and "Revolutions"

    6. Utopia to AvX

    7. Bendis' UXM and All-New X-Men

    8. Living in Limbo Extraordinary X-Men

    9. X-Men Gold/X-Men Blue

I think my answer is actually the Jeff Lemire Extraordinary X-Men run. I really did not care for it and dropped almost all the X-Books around this time for the first time ever. I did not really come back until HoxPox. So that would be my answer

I would say Utopia and Blue/Gold are worse than Austen because it was so dull.

Everything from Schism to Uncanny (2019). Just hot garbage that kept bouncing between bogglingly dull and insultingly bad.

I would say Schism til Rosenberg's Uncanny and Age of X-Man....There were moments that were good...but for the most part it was just blech...lowest point for me was Inhumans vs X-Men/Death of X times

Guggenheim and Rosenberg’s UXM takes the cake. Thank heavens DoX washed all that away Stat.

I would say IvX but strangely the only thing I remember from that event was the cool team up of Emma and Dazzler taking down Blackbolt. I wiped my mind clean of everything before and after that since I don’t process bad biases writing.

I have to agree. Those were some dark years.
Rosenberg's run is my least favorite of all time. MUCH worse than even Austen's.
