Stupid question for the high level collectors/museum curators/etc.

Alright. Regarding the latest Action Comics #1 that went up on ebay. The internal pages of that comic. Are as white as if they were printed last week.

How is that possible? In what way was the comic so well preserved all these years that it completely, for 75 years straight, remained that pristine white? It's fairly unbelievable to me, especially given that it survived at least 30 years during an era when there was no real such thing as comic collecting and preservation.

I don't think many museum curators hang around here, lol.

I've often wondered the same thing though. The book would have had to have been stored somewhere where It doesn't come into contact with the air, and remained there for almost a century. It seems so improbable...

Ps how much do you guys think it will go for? Do you think it will break $3m?

One article I read about that book said it was put into a container and forgotten about for 30-40 years, then purchased by a "collector" who intentionally did the same thing and put it away for another 30 years.
