Portal Gun: The issue is you need a flat surface and two shooting points from a to be to set up to work. ( In 2 the biggest feat was portal shot to the moon. Issue is it could kill you too if not careful.)

Rick Gun: Just throw on random numbers, fire and close. Instant dimension dump ( superfood by far) especially as mentioned, does not need a surface.

I thought about someone like Thing/Colussus/She-Hulk but I figured that they start with a thunderclap and I never get the shot off. Ditto with CBPH like Batman/Captain America. The Portal Gun is getting knocked off the hand.

Maybe someone like the Purple Man or Kingpin. Plastic Man or Mr. Fantastic? Ms. Marvel (Kamala)?

Yeah portal is a nice shooter puzzle thing. But it was met to be challenging so the portal gun had limitations.

Has to be a flat surface
You have to manually switch the portals and they only work as portals when both portals are on.

Yeah, Rick gun wins.

But yeah also yeah the portal gun would only work against a real threat by moon shot ( which can suck you up) or you randomly get your foe in a environmental hazard.

Otherwise your target can just portal back and kill you.
