Create a Marvel Speedsters Chart

With the Olympics just concluded, I thought this was the perfect time. A while back I posted this in Monica Rambeau's Appreciation thread:



It's the Earth tryout for the Elder of the Universe Runner's Galactic Marathon. Take note, Monica was not flying as it was a foot race. (The winner, by the way, was a late entry by the so-called amnesiac "Buried Alien" in a tattered red and yellow costume who hailed from another dimension… very interesting.)

And I also saw this spread taken from an issue of DC's Flash:



If Marvel were to come up with its own canon chart of the fastest speedsters, where would you place Runner's racers and who else would you add (aside from Runner himself)? Golden Age Whizzer? Blur from the New Universe and Robinson's Squadron Supreme? Aurora and Northstar? Silver Surfer? Since Power Princess and Hyperion are pastiches of Wonder Woman and Superman respectively, do they also have the originals' speed?

Gotta add in Monet st. Croix. She's kinda like a mutant version of Supergirl, and can fly at supersonic speeds when she wants to. Whether she can RUN that fast is a different question, but given that she can literally catch bullets and throw them back at whoever fired them... probably.

When did Quicksilver start to run at the speed of light? One of the reasons Jim Shooter gave for cancelling the original JLA/Avengers crossover was that it had Flash racing Quicksilver, who at that time had a top speed of 175 miles per hour.

Shouldn't Lightspeed be called Soundspeed?

Quicksilver has had a massive upgrade. I think it happened after he lost his powers and when he regained them.

Not sure about Northstar and Aurora. They were always faster than Quicksilver pre upgrade. I didn't know they actually fly/run at the the speed of light unless they've had an upgrade too?

This was off the top of my head and most of the people I included have superhuman reaction time along with super-speed.

Turbo...haven't thought about that character in years. Does she have superspeed or is her speed/flight controlled her costume? Hell, all I remember about her was the horrible headgear and the mini tornado she created. LOL

I think Nova has superhuman reaction time so he should be on the list but I think Quasar speed is most Cosmic Awareness and teleportation gates, not super-speed. Though, I could be wrong...

According to their 80's OHOMU the twins were theoretically able to fly 99% the speed of light but certain factor held them back. That is no longer the case.

ooh... just thought of a question... what about characters who can take on an energy form?

Scanner of the Acolytes could turn into an "electro-transitional hologram" and while in that state move seemingly at light speed.
