Like most sorcerous types, Glitternight is a bit hard to pin down in terms of consistent power level. But he is known to be an immortal necromancer who can levitate and glide to a limited extent thanks to his baggy costume. He can steal souls, drain and steal lifeforce, create monsters, raise zombies, and shoot blasts of magical energy. His typical opponent was a werewolf (616 Jack Russell), so these energy blasts were likely of moderate power, more than sufficient against normal people, but lacking the oomph to reliably put down a moderately tough superhuman opponent. Summoning zombies and creating monsters probably takes too long to be relevant in an arena fight, especially since the Khazan Arena probably doesn't contain any corpses left over from previous fights.

Hellboy is probably more familiar to everybody here, and easier to describe. He is really, really tough, and has a modest level of superhuman strength. His standard equipment includes a somewhat unreliable BFG (big effing gun), silver bullets, and grenades. His trenchcoat pockets contain numerous small magical charms that offer low-end protection against a variety of magical and supernatural threats. And he is highly resistant to fire and somewhat resistant to electricity.

At the bell, Glitternight levitates straight up, out of HTH range. Hellboy tries to shoot him while Glitternight blasts back with either a mystical energy blast or an attempt to steal Hellboy's soul. I couldn't find any feats for Glitternight against gunfire, but Hellboy doesn't have any great feats for marksmanship and his Zirco gun is more likely to misfire or jam than most guns. Glitternight's energy blast can cause Hellboy pain but probably can't put him down for even a ten-count. I don't know if an attempt to steal Hellboy's soul would work, because I don't know if Hellboy has a soul. Normally we would assume a hero has a soul, but Hellboy is literally a demon from Hell, so maybe not. Hellboy doesn't seem to have enough leaping power to get at a levitating Glitternight, but his superhuman strength should be sufficient to lob a grenade at Glitternight for a possible win.
