killing characters just to have them back later. Death counts, if you cheat it then what you should be afraid of?
Titans are Justice League lite.

The biggest one for me is continuity altering events.
It's all they do nowadays.
I've long since quit believing death counts, and I'd just like them to stop killing characters off altogether. Even it it does end up "counting", it'll be 4 or 5 years before I'll believe it, and so it won't make an impact.killing characters just to have them back later. This is very true. Although current continuity is a terrible mess, too, so I don't even care anymore. The biggest one for me is continuity altering events.
I'd like to add in: having heroes go bad. Either temporarily due to extreme circumstance, or due to brainwashing or turns-out-s/he-was-replaced or infected by something. Whatever. Sick of it.
Someone else taking over for Bruce in Gotham. Whether it's Dick (so often, only sometimes as Batman) or Kate or Jim or Luke (if it plays out that way). Tired of it.
A thousand times these
Also agree with Evil speedsters and the Flash
In the movie "Teen Titans Go" Robin says, "all heroes are born from a tragic backstory" That's another cliché we could end anytime
And of course Reboot number X will finally fix all the problems with the DCU. That may be the ultimate cliché
"Nothing will ever be the same in the DCU!"
Editors/Writers saying "We feel this will be a great jumping off point for new readers"
Why is every teenager that dons a costume a martial arts expert?
Fantastic choices. I'm in complete agreement.Wonder Woman as arm candy for Batman and Superman.
Batman’s “prep time” and Superman’s “he’s not holding back this time” superpowers.
Other colored Lantern Corps.
Yes, please. Once upon a time, plenty of the heroes didn't have tragic backstories. And even some of the ones that were tragic already have had the tragedy level multiplied. In the movie "Teen Titans Go" Robin says, "all heroes are born from a tragic backstory" That's another cliché we could end anytime
I kinda wonder if there is, in general, too much dependence on martial arts (specifically, Asian ones). Obviously the degree to which these are useful exaggerated to a ludicrous degree (against projectile weapons, multiple foes, etc.). But they're visually interesting. It's a visual medium, I admit. Though I don't think that type of thing (so dependent of movement) is as effective here as in animation or live action. Why is every teenager that dons a costume a martial arts expert?
Going off "Evil Superman" and "Batman vs. Superman" tropes. Dystopian elseworlds where seemingly every hero not named Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent loses all their agency/competency because dumb and dumber decided to fight like five year olds and the moral fabric of the universe revolves around them.
The justice system being so inept that fans clamor for their heroes to fundamentally change in character so they kill their enemies.
The stripping of so many essential elements of a character that what's left is practically unrecognizable.

Keep in mind that you have about as much chance of changing my mind as I do of changing yours.
"We've got a new crossover where once again our universe is f'd up who can we kill this time?"
" *insert character here* needs to grow up/mature/change so lets take away everything that their fans liked about them to appeal to fans who hated them!"
"Let's rehash a story that was successful in the 90s again"
"We need to bring back the ICONIC (i.e characters I liked more 'cuz I grew up with them) characters again!"
"Oh look its the Joker which crazy hyper violent antic will he get up to next?"
"Popular villain (especially if they're a woman)? You're an antihero now!"
"Unpopular villain? Sorry you can't change or reform ever!"
"Tonight on a Very Special Episode of *insert comic here* we are going to talk about *relevant social issue* and then turn into a punch up three issues later."
" Look if its not the US lets treat everyone the same and by the same I mean a bunch of stereotypes"
" I don't know anything about this religion but I need some convenient villains so let's go!"
"Our future always sucks and looks like the Terminator"
Crisis.
Just the word and anything related to it.
