    Default Best Wolverine stories?

As the title suggests, I’m interested in hearing about your favourite Wolverine stories.

Obviously there are standouts like Old Man Logan and the original 4 issue run. Are there any more?

In the first page of his appreciation thread Hush made a pretty extensive and comple list of his stories

Barry Windsor Smith's Weapon X series was great. I also really liked Greg Rucla's first 2 arcs from his run. He gets a lot of shut on this forum, but I also really liked Jason Aaron's run on the character.

Well, since you didn't specify WHICH Wolverine:

Two of mine are Orphans of X and Old Woman Laura from All-New. The latter as much it's one of the only GOOD futures Marvel has ever given us. You literally can't throw a rock in the Marvel Universe without starting a dystopian future where everyone lives in existential dread and the heroes had failed to make any sort of meaningful difference in the end, so it was incredibly refreshing to see a world where good people actually accomplished something for a change.

I like Wolverine: Origins and whatever issues focused on Romulus.

Many won't agree, but my favorite will always be "The Death of Mariko" (Wolverine #55-57).
Silvestri's last hurrah & Hama's frenetic pace made this a most memorable experience:

    My picks would be:

Uncanny X-Men vol.1 #133 "Wolverine:Alone!" (Wolvie against the Hellfire Club goons)
Uncanny X-Men vol.1 #205 "Wounded Wolf" (Wolvie against Deathstrike, with Windsor-Smith art)
    Uncanny X-Men vol.1 #172 & #173 (two-parter in Japan with Viper and Silver Samurai)

Weapon X by Barry Windsor Smith

The Incredible Hulk vol.1 #340 (Todd McFarlane art, Wolvie vs Grey Hulk)

Weapon X by Barry Windsor Smith
    Wolverine by Claremont and Miller
Enemy of the State by Millar and JR Jr.
Uncanny X-Force by Remender and Opeña. Not strictly a Wolverine book but amazing stuff
Ultimate X-Men volumes 1-7. Again not strictly Logan but this is my favorite Logan has ever been written
    Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk.
Wolverine: Weapon X by Aaron mostly the first 2 arc. Adamantium Men is horrifyingly under rated
    You brought back Wolverine

The CBR Community Standards a.k.a how to get along.

This doesn't get any love, but I really like the jungle adventure standalone graphic novel
