Gorgon is kind of a ****. Was a bit rich calling out Orchis on recruiting ex-Hydra personnel when Krakoa has a super psychotic ex-Hydra guy in a top job. Apart from that Orchis is explicitly an organisation built for genocide, obv.

Also, having a Japanese character have to be a super duper warrior with two katanas and powers coming out of his arsehole in a Western comic book has to rank as orientalism.

IIRC, Gorgan was pretty much straight evil too. He wanted to bang Strucker's ancient evil wife, because evil!

Also, mutants were devil spawns. Whatever happened to his cult?

Yeah he could be considered "overpowered" but if I remember correctly a lot of his extra abilities came from the Hand. And still he's not written as unbeatable. I liked that Hickman actually "pared him down" in SW.

Gorgon was amazing in Secret Warriors (which in turn is an amazing series that everyone should read), I'm not sure if he'll ever have a large role in the X-books but I certainly hope so.

Would have preferred if he didn’t go out at all. It feels too early in Hickmans line to get rid of him...so that when he eventually did it would have come a huge shock.
I had a feeling he would die, but I wish we saw more of him.

I'm still confused as to how he died. The stuff he endured in this tournament is nothing compared to what Logan and Elektra dished out on him in Wolverine: Agent of SHIELD and he brushed them off like nothing. Does he no longer possess a healing factor or something?

To say he was Charles’ personal bodyguard makes it suck even more. For story purposes, we needed to see more victories from him before his death.

He took out 13 mutants before being taken down by The White Sword. That's pretty impressive.
