Aside from being Avengers, the only thing they had that indicated similar thoughts was their attraction to Scarlet Witch. And that doesn't prove anything, because Hawkeye also had a crush on Wanda for a while, and he also has a very different personality from either Vision or Simon.

I guess, with this, you have to take into account all their experiences since the snapshot of Simon’s brain patterns was taken.

Because by the time they were both around together, Simon had died at least once. That’s got to affect how you behave. Likewise Vision knew he was created by a psychotic murder-bot, and as a synthezoid he was always a little more detached from humanity (and a little less accepted) so that context would skew things somewhat.

I think this was explained by Ken actually being a genius when it comes to Ansatsuken, but since he never gave himself to it like Ryu did he never even began to explore his potential(and thus also avoided the Satsui no Hado) Also explains why Akuma just doesn't care about him.

The other thing is that Ken can probably train in state of the art facilities whenever he wants to and get top nutrition at every meal while Ryu would probably actually spend a ton of his time traveling and doing odd jobs to get supplies and pay for any plane/boat tickets he needs, unless Ken is good sugar daddy. Heck, Ken can afford to bring over many of the other World Warriors to spar with, and then spend any non-training-time sight seeing.
