17 & 18 are actually fairly OP. On top of never running out of stamina or energy, you can't detect their energy, they have amazing teamwork and they're both considerably stronger than a normal Super Saiyan. They got outclassed by the Ascended Super Saiyans, sure, but even Super Namekian Piccolo + Three Years of training + merging with Kami, thereby powering up above Super Saiyan level was at best roughly equal to 17 in their fight.

You can't blame Trunks for getting smacked around by those two.

DBZ Tech is all kinds of crazy. Even discounting Arale, Bulma and her dad have time machines, gravity machines, spaceships etc. Bulma's Dragon Radar she whipped up in her garage or wherever was apparently better than the giant ones that groups like the Red Ribbon Army and Pilaf could make. The Red Ribbon Army had Androids and Robots and Robot Suits that could rumble with Kid Goku.

Dr.Gero made Cell and the aforementioned androids.

It gets overlooked with all of the super magic martial arts, but DBZ Earth has some downright amazing stuff. The Capsules alone are crazy.

And let's not forget that Gero had those tiny floating surveillance bots that was stealing DNA from any aliens and superhuman warriors, which means that it had the opportunity to observe space tech as well.

Not to mention that the alien tech in Dragon Ball is pretty damn impressive, like being able to make parts that were able to improve on Fourth Form Frieza's stats and eventually developing a laser that was supposed to kill Goku if he was able to defeat Golden Frieza.

Why didn't Goku just IT King Kai back to Earth with him before Cell exploded when he clearly had the time?

Because Akira Toriyama really wanted him to die so that Gohan could become the new protagonist, which is why he stood around to chat before teleporting away when he could have just yoinked Cell to the afterlife and been back with King Kai/Geoffry/Bubbles way before Cell could have blown himself up.

Ditto why he chose to stay dead to keep his enemies from attacking Earth even though that is drastically out of character for him (since his enemies attacking Earth would mean that he gets to fight them again after they had trained up to defeat him, which is something he really enjoys), and which everything about Future Trunks' entire life in his Past, their Present, and his Future shows that his enemies will just attack the Earth anyway even if he is MIA and/or presumed dead because not having him as a target doesn't make them less psychotic.

Speaking of Beast Boy.... could he do like Merlin in the Disney's Sword in the Stone and Change into microbes since they were considered in that movie as a type of animal? Has he ever done that before?
