Like you say it depends. Originally he needed to have all five fingers make contact with the target for his power to effect them. More recently he's refined his Quirk so now he only needs two fingers to make contact. Still as you pointed out, manipulation of fluids or particles can counter his power.

He also doesn't need to actually touch the target to decay them. If he touches something you're touching, like the ground, it will spread to you as well. It's strong enough that it can wipe out a third of a city before it stops, and that even getting hit with a stray piece of decaying rubble will be enough to kill you.

Critics who treat adult as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence.

    Very true.

Anyway, something I've always wondered (and I can't believe I didn't think of this before), in the "Swamp Thing" 1991 cartoon, how was Abby able to live safely in the Arcane plantation? The series makes it clear she's in no danger as long as Arcane doesn't know she helps Swamp Thing, but that seems a bit OOC for him.

My personal theory is that her mother put a clause in her will that means Arcane can only keep the plantation and money (which he needs to fund his research) as long as nothing happens to Abby, so she's able to live there.

What's in character for Anton Arcane is too horrific for cartoons.

I think you’ll find during the 90s, she was known as November Rahne.

Same reason they say “I’m not being rude, but...” and then say something rude.

Same reason Goku still wears his weighted Gi.

Does Goku still wear weighted clothing? I don't really remember it ever coming up after Kaiou-sama removed it after Goku's first ressurection, and he was wearing actual gigantic weights during his training under Kaiou-sama again during the Buu Saga.

In Piccolo's case, I guess that its possible that he can use his nebulous matter manipulating powers to create clothing whose weight might be useful. Or maybe he was wearing weighted clothing so long that he just finds a heavy hat and mantle comforting, like a weighted blanket, and anything lighter would feel like he's walking around wearing a turban and cape made out of toilet paper.

    Or Raven. Kinda, yeah.

    Nightcrawler too, I guess.

Daimon, Rachel, Kurt and Hellboy should form a self-help group.

‘Infernal Paternal’ or something. Perhaps ‘DemonsTraits’. Where they sit together in a circle (or, if they find one more, a pentagram) and agree whose turn it is to speak of the devil.
