I think we're at the point were we can just say kaiju and save Godzilla for actual Godzilla news.

Okay, I get the concept. But it feels like kind of a concept based on an inside joke about how kaiju fight scenes seem like "monster wrestling". Which, incidentally, they are because pro wrestling has been big with kids in Japan for decades and Eiji Tsuburaya based the fight moves in King Kong vs. Godzilla on the wrestling that was popular on TV at the time.

I'm not sure anyone who doesn't know kaiju stuff is going to get the gag that's right in the premise.

Onward dropped a teaser about a year out. Same with the Minions movies. Not unheard of for animation.
