    First appearance of Swamp Thing; and I'm sure diehard comic book fans are familiar with someone else on this cover...

    There's a bomb to blow yo mommy up,
    A bomb for yo daddy too! (ouch!)
    A baby doll that burps 'n pees;
    A case of airplane glue!
    There's a hungry plastic troll,
    To scarf yo buddy's arm!
    There's a box of ugly plastic things marked:
    "Uncle Bernie's farm"

    So many choices, but I decided to go with a more current book ... which represents an earlier decade.

    I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
    A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

    Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
    Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

    Are you sure it has been drawn by Bernie Wrightson, foxley?

    I know it doesn't look like his usual style, but apparently, yes, he did. Would have been weird, too, to have a Special Berni Wrightson Issue with a cover from another artist.

    The GCD also credits Wrightson with the cover for Creepy 113.

    Ok. I’m convinced.
